"Absolutely awful"

It was close to where we needed to be

The property had a stale smell and our room had stains on the carpet the bedside table hadn't been cleaned properly. The pillows also smelt old and musty. The bathroom had an odour of urine and the shower was out of a 1960's horror show. The bathroom had the bare minimum of soap it was not acceptable. No air con and it was warm the night we were there the window didn't open as it must be something to do with safety it was a nightmare place.

The hotel is in a great location and very easy to get to.

Unfortunately, the toilet in the room wouldn't flush. As we were heading out for a concert, we reported the issue to the main reception and were advised they'd take a look at it. On our return later that evening, the toilet hadn't been fixed. We had to keep emptying water into the toilet to try and "flush it". The staff on reception, whilst not unfriendly, didn't really make much of an effort to greet us. They weren't stood at the reception desk when we first entered the building. Then the female receptionist came over and greeted us and advised us where the room was. The next morning when we were ready to book out and leave, 3 of the team were stood on the other side of the room and just watched us stood at the reception desk waiting to book out. Eventually one of them came over and took our keys from us. Parking - as well as paying for a room you also have to pay for parking. But looking at signs in the hotel/car park area, if you booked a function, you got the car parking for free.

Friendly and good location

We moved suites as the first one wasn’t so clean and the furniture was loose eg legs in the chairs the dining table was loose but we did get moved to a different suite and that was better
