JOIVY Modern Flat on Rose Street

Great spot to stay for a few days to explore the city.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. 1. The host gave us the wrong wifi password and we were without wifi for a whole day out of our 3 day stay. 2. The hot water did not work properly in the shower; it kept fluctuating between very hot and very cold, and despite numerous requests, the host did nothing to address the issue. 4. TV remote was not to be found. The host finally sent a remote 10 mins before check out without batteries. 5. The cleaners came into the apartment and insisted on starting the cleaning 20 mins BEFORE the check out time. 6. Hostile host who was unable to accomodate a 10 min delay in check out (check out time was 11 am) due to an unforeseen issue with our rental car and even threatened to call the cops on us for trespassing (at 11:10 am), while charging us for a 30 min extension (which means we had until 11:30 am to check out). The host yelled at my elderly mom and very young son, who were at the apartment while I was rushing back from the rental car place for checkout.

Great apartment for the price. Location is perfect and close to all attractions. Easy check-in and check-out.

Very good location, near to train station, tram and bus stops, just off the main Princes Street, shops and major sights and garden. Apartment is clean and has all amenities that we need. Quick responses to queries. Excellent choice to stay for trip to Edinburgh.

Apartment is located on 2nd floor with no lift. Need to carry up luggages.

bed is comfortable. small property, but decent.

We had to store our luggages in premier inn, then collect our luggages in the afternoon. It was always raining in edinburgh, so collecting luggages in another place was not the most convenient thing to do. After we arrive the property, in rain and sweat, we realise the property is located at the topmost floor (35 staircases to be exact). The staircase was very narrow and not easy to carry the luggages up. The property is located in rose street, although near many restaurants, but the old town (ie castle, royal miles) are quite far away.

The washer was nice.

The location was much further from the Royal mile than the ad says. Plus it doesn't tell you that this is actually the 2nd floor( in America the ground is 1st floor..) it was up 4 sets if 8 steps each AND Located in a MAJOR BAR AREA that didn't close down til 1 am . Then the electric to our hot water heater kept flipping off.why rent an apartment to 4 people with a water heater that only supports 2 ,warm but not even hot showers? We had to call the phone number for the facility . They responded from a London location and had to call their person in Edinburgh and it took about 30 min to figure out what to do.The water in the sinks was fine. Beds were awful. Felt like rocks under you. When we arrived there was some corn kernels in the strainer in the kitchen sink and in the big bedroom there were broken fake fingernails painted pink that I stepped on by the double bed.There were bedclothes wadded and rolled up in the bottom of the closet. Glad we didn't need any more covers other than what was on the beds because the closets smelled bad. In that same room we had no ceiling light because a bulb was broken off in the socket and therefore we couldn't even put a new bulb in. So we only had the small lamps that had very low watage. There was a two sided mirror plugged in but I don't 6 why because it didn't light up and it was very hot with only a rotating fan in one of the bed rooms. Disappointed. Paid alot of money just because it supposedly was a 3 to 5 minute walk to Royal Mile which is not the case at all.
