Charming newly renovated 3 bed cottage in Brecon town with private garden & pets welcome

Very clean, old style cortage but nicely done, refurbed kitchen and all upstairs modern. All ypu need in the kitchen. All bits and pieces provided, all we needed. Great location, close to town centre and perfect place to stay for Brecon Beacons hikers. Host very kind and approachable. Really recommend!

It was all good.

The location is perfect, everything in Brecon town is a walkable distance. And only 15 mins drive to Pen y fan. Our group consisted of 3 adults, a toddler and a dog and the house was perfectly accommodating (and safe) for all of us! The owner was very responsive and friendly too. All the beds and sofas were very comfy, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook.

The only thing I can say is that the garden is quite small and the steps are very steep. It also wasn’t very clean, it could use a bit of an upgrade to make it look nicer! But for us it wasn’t a major issue. The dog still did her business as usual :D

It was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Easy short walk into the town centre

Great value for money close to all amenities free parking would definitely stay here again clean and very comfortable 10/10

Don’t know as we did go in the end due to the passive aggressive behaviour of the owner with the messages beforehand about the dogs and log burner.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this property. At 08:25 on the day of my arrival, the owner sent a message stating that the log burner was only for decoration and that the bath taps were not working—despite the fact that I had specifically purchased logs and bath bombs for my visit. Additionally, I was provided with a long list of rules, which made me feel unwelcome before I even arrived. One of the most upsetting restrictions was that dogs were not allowed upstairs. This caused me significant anxiety, as my dogs (one being my therapy dog) would not have been comfortable staying downstairs alone in an unfamiliar environment while I was upstairs. Given this, I felt unable to stay at the property at all. I was also concerned that every paw print or stray hair would be scrutinized, making the stay stressful rather than enjoyable. As a Genius Level 3 member, I have stayed in hundreds of dog-friendly properties and have never been made to feel so uncomfortable prior to arrival. This last-minute communication forced me to find alternative accommodation at short notice, costing me additional money and ultimately ruining my holiday. I had been looking forward to a cosy stay in the Brecon Beacons with a log burner, but instead, I was left scrambling to make new plans. I would not recommend this property, especially to dog owners. If such restrictions exist, they should be communicated clearly before booking, not on the day of arrival after payment has been taken.

Well located in the near centre of Brecon walking distance from town centre. Well equipped kitchen and free from clutter. Very clean and beds very comfortable. Good lighting. Great shower. Netflix a nice touch.

Dehumidifier was a little noisy. Temperature was OK, we could have asked for an extra heater but really it was fine. Parking was a short distance away (about 40 metres) and was fine at the time we arrived.

We had a great stay in the cottage. Perfect location, just a 5 minute walk to town and only a short drive for exploring the beautiful countryside. It is spotlessly clean, warm and homely. The beds are really comfortable as well. Would certainly return if back in the area

Very clean on arrival, with lovely decoration. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was immaculate. Warm and cosy.

Would be useful to have a cafetiere or similar and a corkscrew.
