Pet Friendly Dairy Cottage

This little cottage is on a country lane, the garden is secure for dogs, but not if they have a tendency to jump as fencing is about 3½ foot high but does have netting also. Ample parking for 2 - 3 cars on your own part of the driveway with large wooden gate.The bathroom, toilets & kitchen were spotless, bedding clean & extremely comfortable decent quality memory foam mattresses. You enter through patio doors into a nice sized living area with 2 sofas and an armchair plus a dining table for 6. There is a downstairs toilet with sink. The first bedroom is at the other end of this room and is large with 2 nicely sized wardrobes, a sofa double bed, a bedside table, and a lamp. Upstairs is another living area with a closed log fire sofa and arm chair, to the left is the other small bedroom with the same kind of bed, storage is shelving & adjoining bathroom with shower & bath with a selection of toiletries available. There is no door on this bedroom but as the bed isn't in view it's not really an issue. At the other end is the kitchenette, which for its small size is very well equipped & the tea, coffee & sugar pots were all full for our use. There was free wi-fi, which worked very well, and an amazon fire stick in the big tv downstairs. The owners were very friendly & live onsite in the adjoining property. Nothing was too much trouble. All passwords ect were sent in an email before arrival. There are canals very close by for nice long walks with the dogs. All in all we really enjoyed our stay & will definitely go again.

Could do with new windows & updating a little BUT the owners have definitely made the best of what they have!

Property wasn’t very clean, lots of cobwebs around light fittings and curtains across the door weren’t clean. Carpet was worn and eaten by moths in places. Flooring had gaps in it. Advertised as dog friendly however there was an open tin of Cuprinol next to a dog water bowl outside. Outside area was scruffy and rubbish lying around. Needs some TLC. Good location though and spacious property.

Found the property unclean and unfinished (hole in the wall, drafty doors and unpainted parts). Beds and couches uncomfy and unclean (marks on pillows, crumbs and sticky marks on couch). Very cold in the property even with the heating on. We struggled to understand giving a £100 damage deposit when the property wasn't in good shape. Had to remind host to reimburse us our deposit. Could be a great property just a shame about these downfalls!

Lovely cottage. Heating was already on .love that in January! Clean, quiet, comfortable, very clear location and arrival instructions.

Lovely location, great for a family of 4 or couple. Warm and cosy

The property was perfect for what we needed and was very comfortable. It was fantastic to be able to have our dog with us.
