Typical Mouraria by Homing

We had been looking for an apartament in a very good localisation for sightseeing and we have found the Typical Mouraria. It is nice, clean apartment in the centre of the Mouraria, not modern but functional and very close to the first station of the tram 28. The neighbourhood is calm, no one bothered us but during evenings we were careful. It was sad view of homeless people sleeping on the street near to Martim Moniz Square and local metro station. Moreover it was suprisingly that in the apartment there was no soap or dishwashing liquid and only a small amount of toilet paper. We slept in others apartments in Lisbon and that was standard equipment. But it was a trifle. And we didn't sleep on the sofa in the living room sofa so we don't know whether it is comfortable. ;) We spent nice time in the centre of historical district and we were very close to other districts, we mainly traveled on foot. It is worth mentioning that the deposit was returned to us after four days.

The location was central , near the Tram 28 stop. It was also a very short walk to the metro. There a number of tourists attractions within walking distance. It's ok if you are happy with a basic apartment and plan on spending most of your time out sight seeing.

The shower wasn't great, the oven took forever to cook. There was no washing up liquid or kitchen towels, or basic salt and pepper. There was a washing machine but no washing power. There was no soap in the bathroom, the sink was very small. The sofa required you to move the shelf under the TV for it to be fully extended out. There was a basic rail in the bedroom for your clothes however there was no ironing board so we had to iron on a towel on the kitchen table. The picture didn't match the apartment.

Location is great. Apartment was spacious and comfortable.

Host didn’t communicate well for key grabbing. They changed location without previous notice. Also the host made the apartment ready for check-in 2 hours late!! (I arrived at 3pm at the apartment and the cleaning person was not even half way through the cleaning process). The apartment had some maintenance problems: the shower was broken and clogged; the handle from the living room window was broken.

Close to the city centre

The apartment smelled of damp, electrical sockets in bedroom didnt work, heather didnt work, stains on the sheets. There was problem with cash deposit, becouse i must wait for refound longer then one week, despite the fact they told me the money will be return the next day. To cellect Keys you have to go to their office wchich is lacated out of city Centre wchich take a lot of time for someone who dont know city. They dont answer to message after i pay, and i have to cintact with booking to get fefound of deposit. I dont recomende this apartment. The photos of apartment are not acctual.

The apartment offered a really nice stay. Everything was clean and well-maintained. It is a spacious apartment and located in the middle of the city centre. Everything is reachable on foot, we didn't have to use public transport at all.

The check-in was rather inconvenient since we arrived by bus with heavy backpacks which we had to carry through the city to collect the keys and then in the other direction to arrive at the property.
