This is an exceptional property, across the road from the waters edge with views across the bay. Clean and comfortable with everything you could need, and Ruth is so helpful and friendly. Also a short distance from the local shops.

The decor was tasteful and the ocean view was breathtaking. A very comfortable stay. Our host Ruth was friendly and helpful, making our stay so memorable. Thank you Ruth !

Ruth, the host lives behind the property and came to welcome us on arrival and gave us some helpful information and then left us to it. Ruth was also responsive to my request for help regarding the oven...that was more the operator that was the problem.🥴 The view is fantastic, right on the waterfront. There's no TV in the place but you don't need it cause you're always looking at the views. You can watch the planes arrive and the ferries do their crossing to and from the South Island. There is some road noise but Ruth has a water feature that helps with that, but you could turn it off if you like. There's no blinds facing the road so people on the road can see in. It didn't worry me though, the rooms are private. You have a choice of beds that range from quite firm to softer. I loved the colours in the bathroom. Well stocked kitchen. No microwave but has an oven, stovetop and double airfryer. Close to shops and takeaways within walking distance. It only took about 10 minutes to get to the airport. I would definitely recommend this property.

There's no parking on site. You need to park across the road in gravel where other members of the public also could park to go for a walk etc and there's not many spots. However having said that we didn't have any issues getting a park. It did make it a little tricky to get the luggage across the road cause it needed wheeling over but we managed.

The location is stunning, the price is more than fair and Ruth is an amazing host.

The bed in the main room was a little hard and made creaking sounds everytime we moved.

Panoramic views of the bay unlike anywhere else.

The house design is highly Zen-inspired and takes into account the relationship between humans and the space. Although I didn't use many of the facilities, everything needed, including amenities and consumables, was fully provided. It was an excellent experience. The landscape is also fantastic, with a large window facing the sea. Despite the minimal amount of furniture, each piece is of high quality, enhancing the overall ambiance of the stay.

The lovely spacious living area and full kitchen and lounge with comfortable furnishings where you can look out the huge windows (like picture frames) to the sea, which is just across the road. Loved watching the ferries and aeroplanes coming in and out, and the sunset. Cosy and warm with central heating and lovely shower. Parking straight across the road. Was met on arrival by Ruth, our very friendly and welcoming host. Very relaxing stay and home away from home. Will definitely stay again when visiting family.
