Great staff, kind and helpful, doing their best given the hostel is still a building site! Breakfast was simple, scrambled eggs, toast and coffee, but plentiful and always on time. Friendly vibe, good location short walk up an alley from the beach
The builders! The hostel is still being built, the builders work 7 days a week, start loudly at 8 am ish, and everything is covered in cement, dust, dirt and stones. There is also a building site directly opposite that can be even noisier. I would stay here again in a few years once everything is built but wish I had known how bad it was at the minute as, despite the lovely staff, i would have chosen elsewhere, there is tons of choice in Kovolam.

Location. Kovalam doesn't have any other hostels and Kerala has very few hostels of good quality.
