Spotless modern house close to centre of hakone yumoto. Great communication, extremely helpful.

Some of the rooms are right on a busy road that was noisy - this was not clear. Location was hard to get to and I had a bad leg and asked the owner to book us a cab for the morning but they refused, given we dont speak japanese it was not possible for us to do so - not very helpful.

Liked nothing, terrible dark.

Everything, like a rabbit house, very small and cannot move.

the house is clean, and the key to the house is easy to locate and store again.

the location is a bit hard to find, thankfully the people in the neighbourhood is so helpfull, they help us find the house.The surrounding area is dark at night and uphill walking from train station to the house (aroud 25 minutes).

Great, clean property for 8 person family vacation. Very close to lots of shops, restaurants, and onsens. The owners were very prompt and friendly with their messages.

The hill to walk up might be a little steep for those who have trouble walking, but my 85 year old mother-in-law had no problem with it.

We were a family of 2 adults & 2 children and having a whole house is super spacious. The living room and kitchen is right beside each other, so we can all gather in the same area and keep a look out for the kids. There is a convenience store right before turning deep into the road leading up to the apartment, so you can grab some last minute stuffs if you would like.

This apartment is not 700m from Hakone-Yumoto Station by road. It's deep right in a small lane and on a slope. We have had difficulties trying to find the apartment even with a car. If you are traveling to Hakone by train or have large luggage, I will not recommend this place. The bedrooms are up on the 2nd and 3rd level, so if you traveling with a big group, you will need to lug your luggage up a couple of floors as well. The 'approved' carpark lot is also a distance a way and the lights were quite dim along the walk back to the apartment. While Japan is generally safe, I would put this up as a consideration for travellers who are considering this apartment. There is also no eateries nearby, and the closest would be at Hakone-Yumoto Station, which is definitely not just a 700m walk away.
