The terrace was huge, the common area very nice.

The bathroom is too small, shower unbelievably small.

Good location close to supermarket and metro. Clean apartment with kitchen and communal sitting areas.

Room overlooking the main road was quite noisy even after midnight and early hours.

There was a door and it was on the first floor (in the US it would be the second floor) and a refrigerator was available.

1. No mirror 2. Bathroom is not lit… open wires where a light should be 3. For a shared bathroom it is extremely small 4. Curtains in room could not close making street noise and light difficult to avoid 5. One of the beds had a broken leg 6. Hall is so dark can’t see to get key in door 7. Door on bedroom has been kicked in..is totally cracked 8. No bath mat provided..water runs everywhere 9. No towel racks to hang your towel let alone clothes

host was very friendly, let me leave my bags before my check in time. the room had its own AC unit which was amazing. overall very clean.

kitchen lacked a couple basics (pepper, oven mitts, etc). bathroom was a bit small and although soap and toilet paper were provided in the room, it was annoying having to bring it to the bathroom all the time. no garbage in the room or in the bathroom either.

The apartment/hotel was very strategically located close to the yellow metro line (Marques station), which was convenient because in only 3/4 stops you're already properly downtown. Also the São Bento stop was within this line, so if you want to go to the surrounding cities, it was easy. The place was quite spacious, the common room was well-equipped, as well as the kitchen.

The central location also meant that our room's window was facing a busy road, and since we were only on the 2nd floor, we didn't want to open the window because the air was not too clean. The bathroom used these very smooth tiles, which gets very slippery when wet, but there was no floor mat provided. There was practically no hangers outside of the wardrobe inside our room, so even wet towel had to be hung inside the wardrobe. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, but not for cleaning the dishes afterwards; there were no regular dish soap (only one that's rather abrasive), no paper or cloth towels, and also no mittens to pick up hot dishes. The key system is rather strange in my opinion: the door to the apartment room uses a key code, but the front door needs a manual key. Also even though the staff that checked us in was quite responsive on WhatsApp, there was no on-site staff, so any contacts/complaints may take a while to get responded to.

No hot water for the shower; it only got fixed for one night after informing the staff. No hair dryer available. It took 2 days to provide one. No trash bin, leaving no place to dispose of used tampons after using the toilet.

The location is good, close to the lovely Marquez square. The rooms are comfortable, there is a cosy living room, a well-equipped kitchen and a large terrace.

The two bathrooms are a bit small, even skinny guests can hardly squeeze themselves into the shower. During the one-week stay I had warm water once in the morning. I found it problematic that there is only one set of keys to a room shared by two guests. It was quite difficult to get the keys on our arrival, we had to go to a different place to pick them up. I would suggest installing a safety box for the keys just outside the entrance of the apartment.
