Lady staff at beverage bar (morning breakfast) was so nice. Very attentive and work very fast during busy time.

windows in the room need to repair. Recommend to use curtain in the shower room and toilet so guests can use the restroom at the same time or even can do make up while the other one was showering or using toilet.

Room a bit claustrophobic with only one small window and no balcony, different from the pictures All the restaurants on reservation only, and seemed fully booked all the time

The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, well kept. Good breakfast, we had a delicious dinner sitting on the town road at restaurant Museo. There was a lady at reception (she came from Bangkok to support during the wedding celebrations that were held there) - she was down to earth and friendly and her english was very good.

Overall, the hotel tries to get income or secure its income at every corner of their guests stay there - which was unpleasant as it puts the burden on the guest to pay attention. Also some of the local staff were very unfriendly - the very grumpy Security guard at the entrance nearly did not allow us to get into the property as I had to get out of the car and get the booking in the trunk of my car to show him proof that we were staying at the hotel for a night. It was a car full of expats. They explained later that it was to avoid large crowds coming in just to take pictures and not consume anything. Exactly that happenedd while we were having breakfast the next morning - crowds of Thai tour groups coming to take pictures without staying there. I think the security guards should be better monitored. Other examples: I booked a double room with 2 twin beds and one double room with a king sized bed for 5 persons via booking.com. As the twin bedroom was not ready when we checked in, they put an extra bed into our room for our 11 years old daughter instead. Next morning, they wanted to charge us the extra bed. When we ordered wine for dinner, they immediately came with the bill for the wine although we did not even have our food yet. When we went for swimming at the pool, it took several interventions to bring brown pool towels - then they brought 2 (and we were 5 people). Staff needs much more training to be customer friendly. When we wanted to book a table to have dinner at Museo, they said it is sold out till 8:30pm. After seeing some tables empty for hours, we insisted to sit down and have dinner at 7:30pm - there were tables around us still empty. Should they give priority to hotel guests when allocating tables? Food was really delicious but my side dish came 20minutes before my main dish. Same for my friend. After our side dishes were served, food then trickled in - in bits and pieces - over the next 30minutes.
