The Stables Oceanfront Hotel Midigama

The number one stand out thing was how friendly and helpful the staff were. In addition to it being a beautiful clean space in a perfect location for surfing.

I didn’t have an AC room and as I am Canadian I did struggle a bit cooling down at night, but was given some tips which helped.

Great location, lovely owner and staff, nice clean room, lovely balcony with view. Provided free coffee/tea. Air conditioning was a bonus.

Nothing I didn’t like, only thing to note though, it is on main road which can be loud at night. But I would definitely stay here again.

The place wasn't as good as the pictures, it seems like it needs a little updating however it is over the road from the surf spot so if you're going to surf this is a really good spot to stay. We had a tuk tuk so easy to get around and visit the nearby beaches. Really lovely buffet curry place just over the train track called Chill moon - we went twice very affordable and delicious.

I really loved the location. The rooms were clean and the best wave in sri lanka was right infront of the door. Midigama is perfect if you want the chaos (in a good way) of ahagama very near but you want to stay in a more quite area. Good for long stays

I kinda liked everything

The staff is lovely, so helpful!! The place is really clean and has some nice social areas. Free filtered water and coffe is a big plus! Also very good value for the money. Nice rooftop perfect for a yoga session. Seaview and close to Midigama beach. Great wifi (quite unlikely here in Sri Lanka) and the room with a fan had a nice little balcony where you could see the ocean.

I think when it’s fully renovated you will have an amazing rooftop! Nothing to complain about!

Amazing location, right opposite the Rams surfspot. Lots of good & cheap restaurants around. We loved the design of the room and having our own balcony. The staff was sooo nice and they gave us lots of really good recommendations. We also booked a scooter and airport transfer through their contact and everything went smoothly. We would definitely stay again.
