Location was good and staff was friendly. However, if you are there during weekends, will expect quite a bad traffic jam. Walking distance to gaya street. Overall, price is reasonable.

Was located on the second floor (same floor as check in and check out), wasn't expecting this as it's just too close to room. Sound proof was bad. Easily hear water flowing/ door slammed/ noise of the tv from others in my own room.

Location is within few minutes to Suria KK mall, shops & markets around KK city. Room was clean and comfy. Quite spacious too.

The design of the hotel. The beds were comfortable. The cheerful and friendly checkin staff. Convenient store right below and walking distance to gaya street.

Aside from a slight parking challenge, Matata Hotel is strategically placed, with Suria Sabah just behind it, and 7-Eleven right next to the hotel entrance. Just a road away from Gaya Street. The first thing we did was check with the reception on the great local restaurant nearby and got some great recommendations as well. The rooms are clean, the lobby looks spacious as well. This place is perfect for travellers without a car during their travel.

A dedicated space for parking would be great. Understandably there are limitations when operating a business in that street that are out of their hands to control as well.

-the room size is too small compare to price -the bed design making thr space more congested -very difficult to find car parking -the bedsheet is smelly and might not be change properly.
