Riversuites at The Battery

The old Philadelphia power plant has been renovated into two halves: an apartment complex and excellent hotel! I had a specious room, almost like a one-bedroom apartment. Free breakfast was served, and many complimentary food and drink items were provided in the suite. The bed was large and super comfortable, as was the spacious bathroom. The hotel itself is on the river across from a park and within easy access to Fishtown and City Center. I will certainly return to this hotel again!

Honestly, I never leave reviews for hotels, but my stay at the Riversuites at the battery were not perfect from the start. I arrived at 3:30pm (check in is at 4pm) went up to the front desk and gave them my info and they said it wouldn’t be ready for 30-40 minutes. Okay! No problem went and sat in my car for a little longer went in at 4pm, still was not ready, I was a little frustrated, so we decide to sit and wait in the lobby, couple minutes pass by and 3 groups come in and check in, the first group was told that their room wasn’t ready yet either and they said there was a wedding party so they had a lot more of rooms they needed to clean. Now they didn’t tell me that when I went to try and check in. While we were still sitting there 30 minutes later waiting… they finally looked over and said that they did not forget about us. We finally went up and checked in they told us the floors would be wet from mopping and to be careful. Floors did not look mopped and smelled like straight up bleach in the room. Hotel room was very nice and very clean, sheets and towels wise we were impressed, we were on the fourth floor and unfortunately above us on the 5th floor there is a basketball court so we heard people dribbling basketballs above us in the bedroom. Parking is terrible had to park all the way at the casino and walk in the dark to get to the hotel. At 6am the emergency alarm went off and we all had to evacuate the hotel…. Thats all I can type sadly. Just beware of this hotel!!

This appears to be a redeveloped warehouse.The design is industrial. It is located in the river near a casino with a public park in between the suites and the casino. The restaurant is in the casino. There is a sute that runs between the casino and the suites. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Italian restaurant at the casino is not bad but not particularly good either. The casino also has a burger place and a donut place.

River suites is a gem hiding in plain sight, rooms are excellent staff was great

The after hours ride from the casino to the hotel was unsafe and negligent. Loud foul music and drivers seat all the way back made the ride unsafe as no access to seatbelt from that side. Reckless driving which is a misdemeanor. This vehicle was white and had the hotel and casino logo on both doors with security added. Terrible driver service. Put our lives in danger.

This property is AMAZING! It's like having your own apartment in an extremely well managed facility.
