Nature Cabins Hiigher Farm

Amazing views, quiet location, beautiful yurt and comfortable bed.

I expected a little more attention to detail, no facilities to cook my own food, as advertised, however a BBQ was supposed to be available, and was not, we could not cook on fire as there was no grill. No plates, bowls or cutlery provided, surely that is a basic as people like to bring their own food? No tongs either, two teaspoons only. No where to wash, dirty cups. Asked for plates and bowls in the 2nd morning and they never arrived, we had to walk down and get them ourselves. Asked for more wood and kindling to be provided and that never arrived. Nothing to pick and snack from in the vegetable garden, as promised, everything had gone to seed. The public spaces, looked neglected and untidy. No bin bags provided and we were asked to take our rubbish with us, this seemed unreasonable on a hot day travelling 5 hours in the car, also as a green venue, we would have liked to have recycled. A bit disappointing as the venue has such potential.

Nothing. Bashed my head on the low doors. Dog almost injured her leg jumping off high decking. Cold. Promised fridge worked it didn't. Promised other items didn't happen.

You feel your in the middle of a field with no service from staff. Noisy road all night traffic. Public footpath right next to accommodation huge dog almost entered had I not noticed and been alert. Departed a day early. Told "I wasn't suitable for the accommodation"! Feels run down broken things all round the farm, deckchairs at lake etc

We so enjoyed our stay at Higher Cabins. It was beautiful and secluded. Our little dog loved it too. It has everything you need. A little fridge for essentials. The farm is beautiful , the restaurant is nice (a little out of our price range though) and the lake to swim in looked lovely!!

The bathroom gets very very hot due to the plastic, see through roof. The cabin then gets hot as the day wears on. But at least we didn't go in the peak of the heat wave. The fan helped a lot.

The most private idyllic place if you want quiet and privacy The yurt is amazing and the warm, my only complaint was the door was so stiff we had to fight to open and close it. We had a graduation we had drove to and wanted to just relax somewhere after all the celebrations. This was ideal. Recommend bringing lots of fire wood for the fire amd lots of snacks as its in the middle of no where which I loved. Great for star gazing and chilling.

No response to emails and when called they so not always pick up.

Yurts was a fab experience. Disappointed there was no.milk or enough cups.im the room. After a three hour track I decided to sample the coffee only to find milk. This is a farm!! Simple things for simple.comfort. Bar staff refuse take.eye contact and seem to.serve the loudest person rather than look up and serve the person waiting patiently. Also found no response calling host who's contact was on booking. Had to look.for staff to retrieve luggage which was long walk! Otherwise had a fab time. Natural pond.was too dirty to get in? Maybe a few plants in.tje water could help.ams someone maintaining the walk way which was covered in mud. We get its nature but it was a little raw seeing a rat run past lol

Sorry above was what I didn't like and here I will.say restaurant staff and pizza staff were amazing and faultless. The yurt i loved, the sauna was great. The piazza yummy.

Cosy , the bed was comfortable , slept very well .stunning views and secluded .Recycled materials used . Love the shower Perspex roof

Beautiful location, exceptional food, great staff

Beautifully decorated yurt, surrounded by nature. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed + some very cute details (eg a drawing book, fresh milk, binoculars). The glass ceiling in the bathroom made us feel even more in contact with nature. The location itself is stunning and the farm is growing to include a lot of exciting new features. We will definitely come back!

It was perfect. Wish I could stay longer.
