Shared Accommodation

Any of the good points of this guesthouse are negated by the terrible host. The location is very good, and the rooms and kitchen are obviously recently renovated (though the kitchen is missing basic tools, the private bathroom has a mildew smell, and host refuses access to heating/AC controls)

I had read previous visitors' issues with this host, and I experienced them too. I've traveled and worked in the travel tech space for many years- this is the worst host since a Guatemalan hostal owner locked me in the lobby until I paid him more money. After booking my room, I was sent an auto-message explaining the MANY rules to checking in; 1 rule was that I must pay the tourist tax via a link, which the host would send the day before check-in. It was never sent. I messaged, WhatsApped, and emailed to ask, but no response. The next morning, I did not receive any check-in information (including the address!) OR the tax payment link, so I messaged, WhatsApped, and emailed again. No response. My flight departed at 8am, and I tried again. No response. At 11am (while in-flight) I finally received a WhatsApp telling me how to check in, and to "leave the tourist tax in cash." It was obvious they had forgotten I was arriving. When we arrived at the ensuite double room, it was very cold (early March and a rainstorm) and the bathroom smelled like mildew/wet dog. There is heating...BUT NO REMOTE TO TURN IT ON. I WhatsApped the owner again telling him it was very cold and needed the remote. No response. The shared kitchen is missing a kettle/teapot/anything to boil water (there is a Nescafe machine but no pods); I also WhatsApped to ask if there is anything I can use. No response. The next day, upon checking out, I did an experiment: I said I didn't know how to pay the tourist tax, and we're leaving. He of course responded to this message within minutes (see screenshot below!). I cannot recommend this place, which is too bad because it's a great location with pretty good facilities. Also, for entertainment, read this host's response to my review. Did AI write this? Is this person unable to read? We may never know. His reading comprehension is as good as his hosting skills!

There should be information that is on 4th floor.

The room was very dirty. It was disappointing. The whole apartment, toilet and kitchen was dirty as well with result to make the experience every time we were getting back to the apartment, just not nice!

There were 2 sets of numbers on the panel. We sorted it out to get into front entrance, also needed to hit # sign to activate lock.

Nella stanza invece del letto matrimoniale abbiamo trovato un divano letto con un materasso alto non più di 5 cm. Ma il peggio è stato, la maniglia della doccia del bagno rotta sin dal primo giorno, dopo aver sollecitato, ci era stato risposto che sarebbero venuti ad aggiustarlo, abbiamo riprovato a contattare l host senza ricevere più risposta e dopo 7 giorni di soggiorno c'è ne siamo andati per come l abbiamo trovata.

Ne louez pas de chambre dans cet appartement : nous y sommes allés en hiver, le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas, ni dans la chambre, ni dans la salle de bain. La douche est cassée, tout les jours c'est 10 minutes pour arriver à lancer l'eau et on ne peut pas régler la température : bouillante ou froide. Les espaces ont l'air propres mais on a trouvé une chaussette sale sous notre lit. Nous avons essayé de joindre le propriétaire à plusieurs reprises mais il n'a jamais répondu... C'est honteux. Booking a fait l'effort d'un avoir de 20% mais devrait plutôt supprimer ce logement. Nous ne sommes pas les premiers à être extrêmement déçus. Certes le logement n'est pas très cher mais j'ai toujours voyagé dans des logements peu cher et celui-ci est le pire que j'ai vu !
