The Beaches Guestrooms and Cottages

I spent three very enjoyable nights at The Beaches Motel. It was clean and convenient to shops, with a nice little pool, and just over a mile from Wells Beach. I brought my bicycle with me and was easily able to cycle to the beach every day. It is a small, family run motel, with a pleasantly old-fashioned feel to it. The owners were very helpful and friendly. It's on the main road (route 1) but traffic noise wasn't a problem. I had a room with a kitchenette which was nice as I was able to make my own food on a couple of nights. Eating out in the area can become expensive. Good value for the price.

My wife and I were looking to get away up to Maine for a few nights, but we didn't want to board our dog Romeo who is our rescue from Aruba and just over a year old. I did some research on line and came across The Beaches, so I decided after reading all the great reviews to give it a shot. I have to say, if you are looking for a place to vacation and bring your dog, this is the best place! We rented one of the cottages for three nights and we will definitely be back. The owners Judy and Joe were over the top accommodating and Judy’s grandson Connor was working hard and awesome as well! We ended up staying a fourth night and enjoyed another beautiful day by the pool! Awesome place, awesome people...can’t wait to go back...thank you for an awesome time!!

We decided last minute to getaway for a few nights with our pup and choose this motel due to being dog friendly .We were thrilled with our choice super clean very quaint and most if all very dog friendly .We loved the pool and the swings to sit on in the evening .Property is so well kept , when I say room was spotless that's an understatement they do everything during Covid 19 to make check in safe and easy .I want to especially say I watched the owners son who I was told by his dad was responsible for cleaning the rooms never stop the whole time we were there what a work ethic this young man has that's says something about this establishment being a family run businesses .We can't wait to return and this time rent a cottage .

My folks recommended this place and we are loving it! The owner was very helpful regarding places to explore with our dogs. I love that they are dog friendly and that our dogs could experience this with us. It's so quaint and quiet too. The cottage is clean, and so is the pool. The owner has taken COVID precautions seriously which put our minds at ease during this pandemic. We have a kitchenette in our cottage that we've been utilizing. It's even stocked with utensils, pots and pans. The bed is super comfortable, and we have a nice tv too. We have a little screened in porch I've been loving, and also some lounge chairs outside. We are in the middle of so many fun things to do. This is an amazing place to relax, I highly recommend it.

The Beaches is a super cute, old school kind of motel and cottages in Wells. This was our second stay. Joe, the owner, does a great job taking care of guests, particularly now in this COVID era. We felt very safe with all the precautions he is taking. The motel is very centrally located, and it is easy to get to the beach, our favorite restaurants, the supermarket, and shopping (hello Renys!). We have stayed at several places in Wells over the years, but the pool here is our son's favorite, as it has an 8 foot deep end! We have really enjoyed our time at The Beaches.

Really enjoyed spending a weekend here. The owner Joe was very welcoming and friendly, ready to satisfy all of our needs. The pool and fire pit was really great! Would highly recommend. It’s a great spot for a getaway and very close to restaurants and beaches. Cottage #6 had all the amenities and cleanliness we had expected. Definitely coming back!

My family and I have stopped here for years and we have always had a fine experience. This year COVID-19 has caused a lot of uncertainty when it comes to traveling, especially to Maine, but we decided not to forgo our annual trip. We called the owner of the Beaches well in advance for advice and he patiently walked us through all the steps we'd need to take to comply with the state's requirements for visitors and for our own safety. When we arrived every precaution was in place to provide the maximum safety and comfort for the guests. The front office office desk was screened, cleaned and details down to sterilized sign-in pens were ready. The room was so clean my children gasped when we first opened the door. As always , the landscaped grounds were immaculate and meticulously maintained. The pool was crystal clear, heated and ready for the kids. Small inconveniences (like no ice due to state-mandated COVID restrictions) were explained up front with an apology. Given the enormous challenges faced by Maine's lodging industry I want to thank Joe and the Beaches for their incredible efforts and warm hospitality. Truly, my family and I couldn't have any more from anyone this summer. The Beaches. My Thanks!
