La stradina lungo il fiume era bellissima. La posizione era ottima perchè molto centrale. Stanza pulita e spaziosa. Wc in stanza separata dalla doccia/lavabo. Lavatrici/asciugatrici a disposizione a poco prezzo.

Asciugamani nuovi solo su richiesta. Non c' erano pigiami. C'erano le ciabatte ma solo quelle già usate e quindi riutilizzabili, non quelle usa e getta.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The location allowed for a homey feel while still being close to public transportation.

It would have been nice to have a microwave.

To start with the positives, the location is very convenient for exploring Kyoto, and our room was reasonably spacious for a city hotel. We also appreciated that the hotel had already received and placed our luggage in the room before our arrival, which was a nice touch.

However, several issues became apparent during our stay. The bed was advertised as a double bed, but it was actually two separate mattresses placed together on a large bed frame. As a couple, this was not particularly comfortable and affected our sleep quality. We also found that the curtains did not block much light, making it difficult to sleep past sunrise. The bathroom itself was fine, but overall the room felt less comfortable than we had expected for a stay of this length. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment came at the end of our stay. Our check-out time was 11:00 AM. Due to accumulated travel fatigue and underestimating how long it would take to finish packing, we were still in the room at 11:10 AM. We fully acknowledge that this was our mistake. At 11:10, a staff member knocked on our door. When I opened it, while my partner was still packing inside, the interaction felt surprisingly aggressive and stressful. The staff member repeatedly pointed at the time and insisted on an immediate payment for a late check-out fee. Although we agreed to pay the 2,000 yen charge, we were surprised to be asked to pay it on the spot while still trying to finish packing. What upset us most was not the fee itself, but the way the situation was handled. We felt rushed, pressured, and treated with very little courtesy or understanding. The interaction felt unprofessional and completely at odds with the hospitality we had experienced elsewhere in Japan. To make matters worse, we were not given a receipt for the payment, and when we finally left, there was nobody at reception; we simply dropped our key cards into a box. While the hotel has some positive aspects, this final experience left a very negative impression and unfortunately overshadowed our stay in Kyoto.

El personal fue muy amable con nosotros desde el primer momento, incluso la chica que nos recibió estaba aprendiendo español y nos sorprendió con varias frases que le agradecemos como acogida. Además el alojamiento estaba muy bien ubicado, muy próximo a una estación de metro así como andando de las zonas más céntricas. El tamaño de la habitación era de los más grandes que hemos visto en nuestro viaje a Japón. Si fuésemos de nuevo, repetiríamos una y mil veces en este alojamiento.
