All the staff were extremely attentive. Food was mainly homegrown from their own gardens, hence very healthy and tasty. Location was beautiful, surrounded by flowers, luscious plants and tranquility. Parking was great, with some spaces shaded. The pools were clean, towels were placed on individual sun-beds each morning. The Orangery was stunning, aesthetically very pleasing to the eye. It had a lovely Michelin starred restaurant, which again was very tasty, well presented and the service was exceptional. We also liked the fact that this was the place where the Treaty of Cassibile, between the Allies & Italy was signed in September 1943. This is commemorated by a memorial underneath a beautiful tree, surrounded by a canopy of trees where you can reflect on a very historical event. This boutique retreat exceeded all our expectations and cannot speak highly enough of the friendliness of the team.

A wonderfully hospitable hotel from beginning to end, A beautiful large than expected room with just the right mix of contemporary and antique furniture including a white linen swathed four poster bed. Breakfast featured local organic and home grown ingredients served with a smile. A serene garden sanctuary only a 10 minute drive to buzzy Ortigia!
