City Centre Bridge Street Apartment

It was well appointed and attractively designed.

The scented sticks and electric oil dispensers were not at all pleasant for us.

The apartment was centrally located, an easy couple of minutes walk to the heart of the town and a good size. Despite the bitter winds outside we were always comfortable and warm inside. Loved Kirkwall and loved our apartment!

Nothing, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Next door to pub .. Good amenities, good for fishing Better weather would of been better buy apartment was first class

Weather

The property was very clean, well equipped and well maintained. It was very handy for all the shops, ferries and facilities in Kirkwall

The noise from the pub on the Friday night. It was the only time it bothered us. There was a smell in the stairway and landing - maybe a problem with the drains? Found the parking a bit difficult to manage at first.

The fact that Kirkwall was a major town was more luck on our part, so we thought the location was great. The apartment had everything we needed.

Would have liked a few more utensils etc in kitchen. We like to cook and very basic. Poor pans.

The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Having a real living space for four nights clearly beat staying in a cramped hotel room, and being able to cook our own meals in the fully equipped kitchen was a pleasure. Even has a washing machine, much appreciated after a week of hiking! Location provided convenient walking access to grocery stores, the bus station, and the ferry.

The apartment is across the street from a bar/club that is really busy on Friday and Saturday nights. In summer months, opening the windows in the dining/living room on those nights probably would expose you to serious noise. Fortunately in cool Spring weather with windows closed, it was still quiet in the master bedroom. This was *not* a problem on other nights, when the club was either closed or quiet.
