This spacious, modern, nicely decorated apartment in the heart of Kirkwall has all the comforts of home. It was nice having the kitchen to cook simple meals and the washing machine was most appreciated. Close to everything, it made a nice home base to explore Orkney’s mainland. Hosts Abbey and Evan were most helpful.

Definitely party noise from the pubs late into the night. Bring your ear plugs😀

The apartment was immaculate, I loved how much thought had gone into think of the guests. From guides / travel information to board games and toiletries!

Didn’t mention it was above a chip shop right next to a night club and sports bar. Very noisy at weekends especially. Perhaps future tenants should have the right to know this. As if you are looking for a nice quiet holiday this is deffo not the place to be staying

Clean, centrally located, Abbey was very helpful, as were parking info. It gave us a good base from which to explore the island.

Very noisy with the two bars below and people making tons of noise from 10pm to 1 am. Much of the racket can be reduced by closing outer and inner windows, but then apartment got very warm. Food froze in the frig even though it was set to min.

The apartment was very clean and well equipped, in a prime position for a base. Owner was very helpful with parking information etc.

On a totally personal note, we found the beds too soft. However, it wouldn't stop us from staying again, we would just pack more pain killers. ( it's only for a few days)
