"Beautiful Hotel in perfect location"

The location is fantastic and the staff is so nice. There’s also a beautiful garden in the back where you can have breakfast. I think the sign of a really good hotel is how they react when you have a problem. We had a problem with the original room and they changed us to a room that was so unbelievably beautiful and comfortable. You can walk everywhere from this hotel and we did. We also got a whole meal at the Mercado Bolhao and ate it in our dining room.

I think I would’ve been really unhappy if we had been on the ground floor because it was too noisy for us. It’s not a criticism, but for the Kitchen I would add: a colander, cutting board, and directions on how to use the washing machine and dishwasher.

The hotel staff was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating during our stay. They went out of their way for us, offering many suggestions for site seeing and also assisted us with a restaurant reservation to a most excellent steak house. We very much appreciate their hospitality and kindness.

The hotel is located downtown and right across the street from the police station. While it was entertaining to people watch from our patio, there was quite a bit of outside noise. Closing all windows and window door blinds helped to block the noise when we wanted some quiet time.

"A fabulous hotel in the heart of the city"

Everything - the friendly, welcoming, efficient, helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble; the apartment itself; the view and garden accessible through our French windows; the bed comfort; and the fantastic breakfast! The location was amazingly central and useful for discovering the city in any direction.
