Marriott Summit Watch Luxury Studio

WARNING - This hotel is NOT appropriate for couples wanting a quiet night's sleep. Rooms are Suites which often consist of a bedroom and a family room for larger groups to congregate. Those suites have the OPTION to add an additional studio bedroom which is connected by an interior door. If they do not rent the studio to the larger group, they rent it to people like us who just want a quiet night. Instead these groups are large family gatherings. We moved rooms TWICE because of the loud family next to us through hollow interior doors that do NOT block any noise. Easily hear their conversations, bad jokes, and TV. We tried to leave the hotel but they refused to refund our money and said it was impossible for them to find a studio that might have a non-noisy family next door. So I stayed up to almost 2:00 am while a lot of teenagers laughed and yelled well into the night. This is NOT the family's fault...or the teenagers. They wanted a location they could just party. But there should be a warning and some understanding on the part of the Marriott staff when people like me come to stay. Almost impossible to avoid noise if you're a couple in one of their studios. They did not accommodate us at all. Very disappointing. And they know they have a problem. And they didn't care. It was our problem that our neighbors on the other side of a hollow door were noisy. Couldn't they have at least invested in noise suppression doors if they wanted to rent the studio separately? They know their hotel is for large group gatherings. And they know couples are going to get a bad deal staying here.

Had a great stay. The room was fantastic and there is plenty of things to do at the resort. The pool and hot tubs are well maintained and Greta for a relaxing day. Location is fantastic, right off Main Street. Only complaint was we had a few issues in our room but once we brought them up they were fixed immediately.
