Villa Vertigo Ubud by BaliSuperHost

The villa has a nice architectural concept and the idea of separate buildings around a courtyard is interesting. The location is also relatively quiet.

The main issue was privacy. During our stay we discovered a surveillance camera inside the private villa area that was not disclosed in the listing and was not mentioned at check-in. The camera was not facing the entrance or perimeter. Instead, it was directed toward the internal courtyard and the walkway between the bedroom buildings and the kitchen/living room area. Because the kitchen and living room have fully transparent glass walls, this camera effectively monitors movement within the private living space of the villa. Anyone walking from the bedroom to the kitchen or living area is visible to the camera. For a villa marketed as a fully private villa, this was extremely uncomfortable and honestly quite shocking. Privacy is the main reason people book private villas rather than hotels. The most disturbing part is that this surveillance setup was never disclosed before booking or at check-in. Discovering a camera watching the internal living area during the stay created serious concerns about privacy and raised questions about whether there could be additional cameras we were not aware of. In addition, the air conditioning had a strong mold-like smell and drainage issues. A technician came and tried to fix it, but the situation remained uncertain and we were asked to wait for another repair attempt the next day. Because of the combination of privacy concerns and the AC issue, we decided to leave early. The host refused to refund the unused second night. Overall, the experience did not match expectations for a private villa stay.

Beautiful, modern villa set in a lavish greenery with an amazing pool and great attention to detail. The possibility of dinning in the villa as well as having spa treatment is great. We thoroughly enjoyed floating breakfast. Location of the villa is quiet but at the same time not far from all Ubud attractions. Outstanding hospitality - big thank you to Mr Adi Saputra and his team - we had such comfortable and stress-free stay. Your hospitality is outstanding!

The area had too many insects

The villa was just amazing. You feel remote and at the same time close to all Ubud cafes and restaurants at the same time. The staff was very neat and cooperative in all terms under the supervision of the manager Adi Saputra.
