Central Gunwharf Quays Two Bedroom apartment

The apartment was beautiful, fabulous location, quiet easy parking and entry, facilities inside apartment were all you need so you could eat in or out, lift was very helpful

The arrival time to access the property needs to be at least 13.00, we were told 15.00 and admittedly tried at 14.30 but opened the door and could see that beds etc and cleaning needed doing, so we went back to the quays, we received a message after that to say sorry but can you wait until 16.00, not good when a storm is raging outside and we we tired. When the lift doors opened the smell was overwhelming, we can only think it was the hallway carpet, but the apartment smelt lovely.

Location was perfect. The apartment (kitchen) was well equipped. Bathroom and bedrooms were clean and tidy.

Code to access the building was an old code. If someone wasn’t leaving just as we got there we wouldn’t have been able to get in at all as the fob and key were held inside. A number of the furniture items were broke inside - there was a chest of drawers in the hall placed up against two cupboard doors that you couldn’t access that only had 3 legs so if you knocked it the whole thing fell over. Light in lounge was loose and being held up by the 2 accent chairs in windows. WiFi signal was very slow so TV (which only had Netflix) was pretty useless. We were a family of 4 so needed the trundle bed mentioned before booking but there was no mattress or bedding so we were unable to use it. Also there was no room to pull the bed out. My two kids had to share a single bed. All of this for just a one night stay would’ve been bearable but we have the worst night sleep as you are basically on a taxi rank. Until 3-4am there are constant groups of revellers getting taxi’s shouting, sweating etc. Our daughter is at university in Portsmouth so we were looking for a place we would return this is not the one for us.

Issues getting into the building Couldn’t use tv Bath hadn’t been cleaned Rash after using either towel or shower products I’m not sensitive to any products usually

We were given a code to enter the apartment complex but this did not work. We were then told a cleaner would meet us with the keys but this also did not happen. After driving for nearly 3 hours on a Friday evening this was not the welcome we expected!

The correct door code would’ve been useful.

The apartment was lovely. It was well-kitted out and in an excellent location. Having a washing machine was particularly useful.

When we first arrived, someone had to let us in the front door to the block as all the instructions we were sent are for the door to the apartment and we didn't get a fob for the outer door until we got to the apartment itself. When I messaged the host, I got no reply.

Cleanliness, well presented, location handy for attractions, shops and restaurants, host responsive.

At start I was a bit confused about how to get in the building. Would have helped to know there were two codes.

Location was amazing . Parking a little expensive £26 over night but you are amongst everything you need and car is safe (parked at Gun Wharf) Excellent beds and facilitys every thing you need. Just missed outside space as second floor . But cannot fault it

I was told to use a door next to the hotel entrance, no door, really bad directions to access the apartment.

The double bed was uncomfortable so I used the single bed on the second night
