Private garden apartment with secure parking

Lovely little, cosy apartment, nice courtyard garden we could let the dogs out it. Fully equipped kitchen, secure, easy parking, good location to walk into Southport or Churchtown. Overall a great stay, we'll definitely stay again.

Mattress was a bit soft for me but will probably be fine for most people.

Double booked us. Was rude on the phone and said its been an ongoing problem so definitely recommend ringing after you book or before you go to the property. Host isnt the easiest to get hold off when it comes to getting the money back, avoided contact with booking.com.

Well, the host was very pleasant. Spacious utility room on entry. Safe parking. With a large drive. But no security lighting. Handy to Hesketh Park. Short drive to beach and town.

An enclosed garden with outside dining was advertised. There wasn't a garden, it was a yard. There wasn't any outside dining, only a very dirty set of metal garden furniture. The outside lighting wasn't working, which made the yard pitch black. garden pots full of dead plants and weeds. The lounge is very small,with no dining table or chairs. We had to have our meals at the coffee table whilst sitting on the edge of the sofa. Would be an idea to replace the coffee table with a small drop leaf table & chairs. The corner lamp wasn't working until we were given a bulb for it a week later. The blinds in the lounge were very dirty and broken The bedroom is small, no mirror. The bed was too soft and uncomfortable. Some of the spotlights are not working and need replacing. The pillows were supposed to be non feathered, they have feathers. The shower room is OK, but the shower head needs replacing. The floor of the shower cubicle needs relaying. It looks dirty. It's pitted. The kitchen is a sort of galley kitchen,with what looks like a breakfast bar on one side. But no bar stools, which is just as well as the floor, was on a slope. An old-fashioned electric oven/hob on the other side with little working space. There's no frying pan, just some useless thing with which you've no chance of frying an egg.e.g. A tea pot with a broken lid. There are no bakingvtrays. A microwave that is far too high for safety. As you enter the property, there is a spacious utility room, which is good. There is an American style fridge freezer, which has not been in use for 3 years. One has to ask, why is it still there? Freezer space was very limited, only fridge with small compartment, they did offer to put goods in their freezer but would not be practical.

Very warm and cosy.

It was difficult to use the mirror in the bathroom as it took ages to desteam.
