The location can't be beat: steps from everything you need. The room was comfortable and the staff was so caring. I became very ill the night I arrived and was in bed all three days there. The two women working at reception checked in on me regularly and offered to get anything I needed.

The room I thought I was getting (the one with the view!) was not what I got. I had a view of a brick wall. Apparently only the top tier rooms have views and the manager/owner(?) made a comment about not giving those rooms for booking guests because they have to pay the commission. I suggested they edit the photos per room because it's deceiving. Also there are no room terraces...every room is listed with terrace = nope. Only the roof of the building has a terrace but it's not set up to spend time up there. The last photo is from the rooftop. Also one of the daughters was having her wedding so the room above me was used to make the food. All 3 mornings, starting at 06:30 the banging started upstairs. I thought it was construction noise and on the 3rd day I was finally able to go up steps and had to look wtaf was going on...about 10 women were on the floor preparing the celebration food. It sounded like they had hammers banging on the tile floor...for hours. I'm all for the family traditions and respect for cultures but certainly they could have used a different space for that.

Lovely guest house right in the middle of the historic town. The owner was so lovely and helpful, and the rooms were cosy and clean, overall amazing value! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Bhaktapur :)

location is superb. Temple behide the guesthouse was great , you can see people come for blessing in the morning.
