Annapurna Guest House and Rooftop Restaurant

Had a great time at Annapurna guesthouse! The family who runs it is amazing, we felt really welcome. They really want you to have a great stay. The location was perfect, in the middle of the centre close to in my opinion the most beautiful temple of Bhaktapur. Would highly recommend!!

Most gracious and kind hosts you will ever meet

Good location next to a temple, nice views from the roof top terrace. Hot water came with good pressure. Free tea and water refill.

Double bed was tiny for two people, and so was the blanket. Extremely noisy house, even during the night. Impossible to get good sleep. Bathroom was tiny, no ventilation, always dripping wet inside. When showering, toilet inevitably got also completely wet. Toilet seat was hanging lose. There was only one towel for two people, had to ask for a second one, then got only a small one. Internet was on and off and painfully slow. After several complaints they gave us access to another network which later on also stopped working. Free upgrade to a better room was promised to us in the booking chat (without us asking for it), but on arrival they told us they would actually charge for it. When converting the USD rate, they used an unfavourable one, and on top of that they did an extra "rounding-up" in their favour of 25 NPR per night. We asked them to take that off and they eventually agreed. They claimed that the extra they added was only a little amount, but then why adding it in the first place?

The most welcoming accomodation we had so far, after more than a month spent in Nepal. The room was really clean with hot shower running. It is located in the middle of everything in Bhaktapur. The personal spoke really good English and gave us help with anything we needed! Also they offered us really good typical Newari lunch with amazing view on the roof. Amazing!

Very welcoming and helpful family. Location was practically on top of the historic site. Terrace was great for viewing Himalayas, sunset, and sunrise.

Very welcoming family who went out of their way for us. Amazing location, beautiful room and good facilities. We wished we could have stayed longer. Bhaktapur is such an interesting place!

The staff were so incredibly warm and friendly. We were gifted a bowl, a Bhaktapur’s special king curd yogurt on our arrival. So tasty! I couldn’t ask for a better location. We had an Awesome view of the square at our window. A hot Water tea service was available just down the hall for early morning.

Very welcoming & kind family, they shared their culture with us and we felt really like a part of the household. Rooms are clean & simple with everything you need (hot shower, fan, some storage room...) rooftop with view over the town & temples. Perfect location just behind Nyatapola temple in the center of the town.
