Maberic Housing II

I was in London for a short business trip and needed a hotel reasonably close to Heathrow but also within walking distance of public transport. This place was about 2 km from the underground and offered exactly what I was looking for—a quiet area, perfect for short walks in my free time. Excellent value for money.

Closeness to airport, price.

No phone or TV in room. No soap, shampoo or shower gel provided. Not even a glass or beaker in the washroom.

Clean room, nice bed

Woken up at 7am by people making noise in the house. This is a room within a shared apartment

It's clean and cosy. Bed is comfortable, shower works great.

It is not a hotel, it's an apartment in an apartment building turned into rental units. There were no USB or international charging ports which made it difficult to charge my phone as I was just on a stop over. The apartment building is about 25-30£ uber drive from the airport. There is no concierge etc. You literally let yourself in an apartment building.

The location was really good for me as only 15 min drive to my work. The bed with large and comfortable. Located on the 3rd floor with lift, window double glazed you can't hear the planes landing or taking off. Ensuite bathroom is compact but good and good shower. There was a table with chairs to allow you to sit down for either eating food or work. There is plenty of free parking space on the street.

It doesn't say that you are staying at someone's property and there has been some (nornal) noises (night and early morning) that you will always have when you have a toddler in the property. The room doesn't come with shared kitchen and there's no fridge either in the room. This meant that, during my 3 night stay, I couldn't keep food in a fridge or cook simple meals.

Easy to get to from Heathrow and we appreciated the staff's understanding when we made a booking error. Everything was clean and our room felt safe because of the double key lock on our door.

Like many places in the UK, it had no air conditioning. We could open the window, but even though we were on the 3rd floor we decided not to for safety reasons. Otherwise, it was a cozy room and suited our one-night-crash needs perfectly.
