We loved the privacy the room and property itself provided. We had long days so it was nice to have a quiet space, we were able to get to sleep in no time. June was absolutely lovely, she left us to it but also would have chats with us so we felt very welcome in her home. We fell in love instantly with the accommodation, it was very clean and the little touches around the room was very nice. We were warm and were provided with everything we needed for the time spent in the accommodation.

There was no breakfast at this accommodation, as we expected. Location convenient to the ferry.

We arrived after dark, as expected. There were no lights outside and it was very dark. Dangerous decks with lots of steps at various angles. Lighting essential. Toilet was through a door into the house. We had not expected to share the family bathroom.

This location was great for me and my husband as we were exploring Wellington. It is a 15-20 minute drive away from the downtown and it was in a very quite neighborhood. The room was spacious with a huge closet that we were able to storage our luggage (1 large bag, 2 carry on rollers, and 2 backpacks) no problem. The host has a cat and dog which were very friendly. The host welcomed us to lounge in the living room area to chat, watch TV, have dinner, pet the animals, etc. The host gave us a shelf in the fridge to store any of our food items. She also allowed us to use her coffee machine to make lattes. Plates, cutlery, glasses, and cooking pans were also free for use. The bathroom was amazing! The tub is huge and perfect for soaking baths. The host provided soap and salt soak for the bath. The shower has a rainfall spout and the floors were heated, making it feel like a mini spa. The towels provided were fluffy and warmed on the towel rack warmer.
