"Memorable stay at House of Merchants"

My friend and I made the last minute booking and our stay here in galle turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The facility is new and clean. Compared to many other homestays we had in SL, the aircon and shower water pressure are great. The host family is very attentive to guest needs. The homemade local food by the mother was yum and beyond the restaurant standard. We had such a memorable time staying here and would love to return if we come back to Galle.

We enjoyed an authentic homestay experience at the House of Merchants. We were welcomed by the Wijeratne family and ate a scrumptious Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast with them. We enjoyed a very interesting conversation around the dining table and received valuable information about things to do in Galle. We stayed in a well appointed and charming apartment with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom as well as a kitchen and living area. We highly recommend this homestay to other travellers.

"Don’t look further, just book this place!"

It was a fantastic experience staying with this lovely family in their beautiful home. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything you need and is in a nice quiet area. The hosts are wonderful, making you feel at home instantly and around for advice or help if you need them. Great food as well. Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else, this place is perfect!
