Owner was very welcoming and speaks 3 languages. Even though the location is in central Location, yet the neighbourhood doesn’t feel safe to stay in, you feel like all eyes on you.

The owner cheated about the exchange rate and overcharged us. I am local, yet the neighbour doesn’t feel safe. If you are used to european standard apartments, you may be bit disappointed with the furniture. Towels had stains and there was a non clean dishes in the drawer. There is no parking in the premises, you have to park on the road side and risk to get your car hit by other cars or walkers, I wouldn’t advise if you have a large car.

"Central, clean and authentic"

The host was super friendly and helpful ! Place is just right in the Medina and close to the Bus station. And just a 10-15 min walk to the beach and harbour of the city. I was travelling alone and felt very safe, so I can really recommend the place!

Location. Private, safe and in residential neighbourhood. Near to Louage station. Check in process smooth - owner will contact and communicate through WhatsApp. Someone from Dar Lilia will meet you and check you in. It is a very reasonable cost for the stay, so do not expect a hotel comfort. Dar Lilia is good enough to have a good night sleep and enjoy Monastir.

Amenities-such as toiletries, half used soap. extra toilet paper roll…only 1 half used when we arrived. Weak wifi. Just be careful of bathroom shower, the shower water might flow into living room…because floor is same level and the water draining is slow.
