"Not the best"

4.0

We stayed in the vineyard shepards hut . The Shower room was lovely albeit a few issues trying to control the Shower temperature either too hot or too cold but nice and clean and nice decor the composting eco loo worked well too . Toiletries were also provided which was a nice touch. The hut itself was larger than we've priviously stayed in and gave it a spacious feel . The kitchen was also ok . The Picnic area outside was a lovely area and a nice place to sit and enjoy the countryside while eating or relaxing but needed a some tlc . The location was nice but very close to a road which has quite heavy traffic from early in a morning until late in the evening that made it noisy . The site

This was quite a dissapointing stay we've stayed in many shepards huts and this wasn't the best it also states luxury in the description , there was nothing luxury about it . The pictures we saw when booking looked great , upon arrival we realised it didn't live up to that expectation . The hut itself looked rather shabby and lacked any love or attention to detail . The living /sleeping area didn't feel clean and there was an abundance of cobwebs that looked like they had been there for quite sometime . It felt like it needed a fresh lick of Paint and a deep clean (curtains / cushion covers / Throws washing , windows cleaning etc ) The pillows on the bed were also very lumpy . The upvc windows and doors wernt in keeping with the hut either which made it feel Cheap. The outside area was another reason that made me want to book this hut , but sadly this dissapointed too . Lots of unkept Plant pots with dead flowers in that looked like they had been left for a long time . The outdoor bath was very tired ,again no love in the upkeep, this could be a lovely little area but again wasn't looked after weeds growing everywhere and looked more like a dump site rather than an area to relax and enjoy .. nothing like how the pictures portray it . The Bbq and Picnic area again not the best . Around the Picnic table were large over grown nettles /thistles which I had to stand on to flatten before we used the table . Overall this place in my opinion could be a lot nicer if it was better looked after it seems a shame really . To end on a positive note the bain view camping ground it self is nice and having had a little wander around does look cared for i think it might just be the vineyard hut and its pesonal garden area that we stayed in that wasn't too good.

Everything. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The outside bath was great, as was the fire pit and hammock. Looking forward to another visit.

"Lovely anniversary getaway at Vineyard Hut"

10.0

Absolutely amazing stay, the pod itself was lovely and clean. The little kitchen had everything we needed, and they even provided tea/coffee/sugar (but no milk. Remember to bring some if you want a brew!). The bed was large, a bit too firm for us but still managed to sleep well. Log fire was a lovely touch although for novices like us, it did take us a couple of hours to figure out how to use it! Logs were provided for the log fire and also for the fire pit and bush bath outside (for additional fee). The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful, lots of sheep and we even saw baby rabbits outside the kitchen window! Enjoyed a nice bbq lunch using the grill provided, spent the mornings relaxing in the hammock (but remember to bring it in so it doesn't get wet if it rains). I thoroughly enjoyed using the bush bath in the evening, it took just over 2 hours to heat up as I like my bath water as hot as the fiery pits of hell. Enjoyed a glass of wine whilst listening to the sounds of nature. The other pod was also occupied with a lovely family who gave us some fire lighters as we used the 3 cubes provided, trying to light the log fire. The pod and tent are spaced away from each other so you still have some privacy. The dogs loved running about, the vineyard section is enclosed so great for small dogs, but if you have escape artists they may be able to jump over. Dog bowls were provided and there is a dog bin near the car park. Bring a dog bed as dogs aren't allowed on any furniture. Our dogs were happy to fall asleep in front the log fire. Went for a lovely dog walk at the plantation, about 10/15 min drive away. Ordered a takeaway from Golden Phoenix Chinese Takeaway which was about a 5 minute drive from the site. Felt well rested after our weekend away. Would definitely return in the warmer months.

Lovely little shepherds hut! The small touches make such a difference. There’s plenty to do in the area but if you just want to chill out and relax there’s so many options at the site! From chilling out in the hammock to sitting and watching the neighbouring sheep and their lambs! The solar-powered lights really give the vineyard a magical setting as the sun goes down as well! Lexi and Charles were great with communication and I honestly would definitely recommend a stay at Bain View!

"No better place for a cosy, quant weekend away in Lincolnshire."

9.0

This quant and cosy shepherds hut was an ideal place for us to stay while visiting the surrounding area. It was close to Lincoln and many historical sites. The hut was clean, an efficient kitchen with all you need to drink a hot cuppa whilst looking at the stars. It even had many games and books to keep you occupied. We had a game of scrabble whilst enjoying a cold beverage and in house cooked noodles. The hut stayed very warm when using the log burner. It was a home away from home. The site was lovely and natural and all you needed was there. Wed defo go back and visit again, next time with our beloved pooch.
