"It was a great experience"

At the beginning they told me that my booking was cancel but then as soon as I arrive someone was there I and they gave me an upgrade due to the mistake they did with my booking. The new place was super comfortable, nice and cozzy.

"The room was a good size and decent if you don't plan to stay in the room much."

It was in a good location

The door in the bathroom was stuck and hard to use. We couldn't communicate with the person cleaning the place as they didnt speak english or maltese. We didn't even know if we were going to get the keys due to miscommunication.

The location

The attention received for the property, the lack of cleanliness. The pillow cases are dirty and they were uncomfortable and the bed and couch as well. The toilet seat it was a little bit broken and they didn’t offer us a solution. The should take care of the details in a better way. Something strange and curious happened the last day. Suddenly appeared the man who said be the property and he told us that our reservation didn’t appear in the system and he wanted to know with who we were talking to because he asures not to be him and it supposed to be a ripoff.

"Lack of communication was unacceptable"

Overall, my stay was almost good. The accommodation itself was very nice apart from a few notable issues. I liked how beautiful it is, and access to two balconies. I liked the location that was convenient to reach Valetta by public transportation, or to explore Sliema and Saint Julian on foot.

One wall of the bathroom consisted of sliding doors connected to the outside, making the bathroom constantly cold. The air conditioning could not make up for that. The cleanness was not very good. The sheets did not smell like freshly washed. It could be that pillows and duvet are not clean. Moreover, there were.some lumps of hair on the floor. In any case, I would not complain much because I still liked the place, but communication with the host or person in charge was terrible (non existing). Even if I asked, prior to my arrival, they provided no clear instructions for the check-in process until the official check-in time (3:00 p.m.), leaving me unsure whether I needed to meet someone or if it was a self-check-in procedure. During my stay, I couldn't find the TV remote control and messaged them via Booking.com. They never replied, rendering the TV unusable. Post-checkout, they suddenly became responsive when asking about a key I never used, which showed a lack of effort in addressing concerns during my stay. The lack of timely communication caused unnecessary stress, particularly on the day of check-in, as I was unsure whether the reservation would even be honored. I was thinking if I had a more serious problem than remote control, how would it work out.
