Old and needs remodel

We have stayed here many times in the past. This was our first stay since the new owner took over. For the most part the new owner has kept everything the same. However the breakfast that is included is very limited, and a quarter of what was originally offered so do not rely on it. They also do not restock it as it runs out, you have to ask for things. The rooms are not cleaned daily, so you have to ask for new towels or anything you may have used to be replenished. They were in the process of some of the mattresses as there was a pile of old mattresses by the dumpster however the mattresses in our room were still older. The rooms could also use newer or better pillows. Our room was clean and smelled fresh, as well as the hallway and grounds were cleaned too. There were some people that were part of our group that had issues with their rooms and some were handled and corrected right away others was not acceptable on how they handled it. Overall and compared to other places to stay in the area this is still the best option and we did not have a bad experience. It was just missing the friendly, welcoming owners and their touches that we we're use to when staying here.

Beautiful pool and hot tub, deck view! Lobby could use updating. Breakfast limited options. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean.

It was a pleasant stay

Arrived at the hotel and was assigned a room. No problems there. Then went up to the room to find the room hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was not made with sheets from prior visitor. Bathroom was not clean either. Went back to the check-in desk and informed the staff. They assigned another room. I then went fly fishing and then returned to the hotel. Upon arrival late at night I discovered someone was in my room! A lady and her two grand daughters with my belongings still in the room. We contacted staff and had to wait several minutes before staff arrived back at the desk. Finally received a room reassignment. Fortunately none of my belongings were missing. The staff apologized and indicated a partial refund will be provided. Needless to say, a very poor experience!

My kids and I loved the family time at the pool and cooling off in the AC in our room.

Nothing there wholes in walls felt dirty

Did not have breakfast any of the days we stayed there, good breakfast options near by.

I am a big guy 6'-1", 400lbs, 66 years old, stayed in room 108, the size and height of the toilet was not adequate for a large elderly man with mobility issues, my brother in law had the same problem. I would suggest that you change your toilets to handicapped height and elongated type. Due to this fact my 80 year old brother in law who frequents the area said he will not stay there again. Also, we stayed 4 nights and the 3rd day had to request room service to get fresh towels. I don' think the cleaning crew knew we were there for 4 nights. Maybe some sort of card to put in the door requesting room service would be good for those staying longer than a couple of days.
