GBWelcoming, huge quirky room; huge tv; excellent coffee/tea facilities in the room. Restaurant downstairs serves the best pizzas in England in my opinion
Nothing
GBQuiet room, comfortable bed, good shower and coffee! No noise from the bar.
No heating, although we were provided with heaters, and no window view. Window faced building next does wall and we could not open it. Local dogs barking until gone 2am. Felt obliged to spend vouchers in bar and vegetarian options were very limited.
GBReally lovely, large and nicely decorated room, better than the photos. Great location in this lovely town in beautiful countryside. Nice pub downstairs
It was a shame the pub was closed on Monday nights when we arrived, although plenty of other spots in town and not a massive problem, just slightly less atmospheric on arrival. No room clean after the first night, also fine but a little freshen up would have made it even better

GBClearly a very well thought out and loved little bespoke artisan accommodation. I'm sure it was/is exceptional when the owner is in country.
Just a few little bits for consideration. The room, as lovely as it is, wasn't as loved as it clearly has been. The welcome pack had two different pages of information for the stay. There were little battery tea lights that had no battery, the fire had no way of lighting it (although a staff member offered after we had dinner and were already settled, bit late). Some of the bed throws were stained. Heading down to the bar, there was a distinct lack of ales and other drinks, apparently due to the owner not ordering enough from wherever she was in the world that week. But, most of all that pushed me to give this feedback here: the older staff member in the restaurant was extremely rude to the young, possibly trainee, staff member, about an order being placed to one table away (empty and being cleaned) not the table we were on. We were absolutely gob smacked and I had to speak up for the poor girl. Such a simple and irrelevant mistake should have been handeled behind closed doors in a polite constructive manner. NOT in the restaurant, belittling the young person rite in front of us, when the older lady could see we were clearly the table the order was ment for.. All in all spoilt the whole experience for me.
