Casa Vacanze Historic House

The location was convenient, the apartment was spacious and clean and we were happy to have a kitchen and a bathtub. We were only there for an afternoon and evening before flying out the next morning and appreciated being able to walk to restaurants and down to the jetty to see the sea. There was great food, drinks and gelato to be had in the neighborhood.

It was pretty dark inside the apartment as the windows and balcony are north and east facing. Those windows open to two streets that are pretty noisy. The air fresheners were too strong and had to be kept outside as we don't like breathing those chemicals. While we were grateful for the convenience, it cost us 25 euros each way for a 10 minute to get a ride from and back to FCO from our host.

Clean

No elevator, so a long climb with luggage. Located above restaurant so very noisy. Waited a lot for the owner to open

Very homey. In the center of town so you have everything you need nearby

Needing to wait for someone to take you inside. A lock box or code would be easier for people coming in late or not knowing exactly what time they will be there due to flight delays and traffic or not knowing the area so everything feel unpredictable.

This apartment was in a great location, walking distance to multiple restaurants and shops. The old town atmosphere and views from the balcony were nice. The beach is within walking distance and in October there's not a big crowd but more piece and quiet. The staff were very accommodating with baggage storage, an earlier check in and a ride to the airport for a fee. The fishing boats were active and theres a coffee shop that opens at 6 a few doors down. Clean and comfortable bed. I would stay here again.

The only thing I found difficult to get around was the shower head. The bathtub was great but coming from the states I'm used to being able to stand under the shower head and wash my hair. Here I had to hold it.
