The Broome Kolkata

The hotel is in a quiet area of Kolkata, but there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants near by. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the seating area in the evening.

Ordering breakfast was difficult due to us only speaking English.

A bit difficult to find on your own

The area is great and the staff are very kind. We liked the no fuss and frills nature of the place.

The beds are really firm and the pillow rather flat.

The location is perhaps the best thing about this property. Walking distance of cafes , Gariahat and all other conveniences. Breakfast is quite sparse....some fruits or yoghurt can be a nice add-on, and not too expensive. Daily refills of coffee sachets, inspite of requesting, were not refilled. Some tea bags will be nice - quite a basic ask, actually. The room was quite clean and everything was available at hand.

Wi-fi was very patchy the whole of the first day and the next. This is a very important aspect. Please look into it.

Very comfortable bed, good shower and close to a great cafe for meals. A bottle of water delivered daily and when I asked for milk powder, some was delivered immediately.

The WiFi died just after I arrived and didn't appear to return for 48 hours after which I left. No loo roll and the toiletries were mini bottles that were half used.
