"Warm, welcome and atmospheric YHA is a fabulous location."

Friendly and welcoming staff, warm and super clean and comfy room, stunning building and grounds in a fantastic location.

The WiFi was ver, very poor, the kitchen was really chilly and small (not a problem for me but could be an issue when busy), and it was depressing to watch the price of my pre booked non refundable room drop dramatically in price as the date crept closer.

"Very comfortable and relaxing stay in Castleton YHA"

Property is at very good spot for joining trails for the ridge, it has good useful facilities for cleaning and drying your equipment after wet hike, there are good options and equipment to prepare food but also very good restaurant to get yummy food prepared for you

It is a bit tricky to reach the village after dark - as it takes 15 min walk throught the patch of woods but it is not really a huge downside if you have a torch

Excellent location, very well organized, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of nooks, crannies and cozy corners with books and games. The self catering kitchen was well equipped and easy to use.

I really like the lounge. The view through the windows from the lounge is spectacular. It's very peaceful. People in Castleton are very friendly to me. The staff at this YHA, especially Rosie, Gemma, and Jack were very helpful and nice. I was there during New Year's Eve; really appreciate the staff and volunteers who worked despite it's holidays seasons and still have us warm and nice experience with lots of smiles and "Happy New Year" wishes.

It is a great location for walks while Castleton at Christmas is great. The breakfasts were good.

I wasn't in the main building and it wasn't good that my card didn't give me access to the members kitchen at night which was most unexpected.
