Amazing property and amazing host

Nothing

No breakie as we were self catering So we were out and about seeing Whitby and had brunch at a cafe instead.But if we had wanted,the kitchen had everything you need for a hearty breakfast.

The only downfall to this beutifull property was the car parking.The proprioters very kindly paid for a parking permit for us and we then had to set off around Whitby to find a space in the designated parking zones.As it was raining we were soaked by the time we got back to the cottage. And thats the only fault we could find with it.Hense the 9 and not a 10 from Len.

Abbey View Cottage was superb and we couldn't find any fault with the cottage, location and how clean the cottage was on arrival.

Nothing to not like

Beautiful place to stay, wonderful little balcony to sit at for breakfast with a view of the quaint town centre and abbey. Situated over 3 floors plenty room without it feeling too big. Kitchen was well equipped and the bonus of a dishwasher to save that pesky washing up. Close to town centre for sunset walks and nighttime meals. The sun set view from the sets of the abbey is a must. The balcony has a shared entrance, neighbour very friendly, I'm sure she would of just walked passed had I not stopped her to chat.

Parking was an issue but this is whitby so I expected this. Owners sent a helpful text to show us where we could park also a 48 hour permit for W permit.

The cottage was very pretty and furnishings comfortable, the view was really nice.

The outdoor balcony is a walk through for next door, the space is shared. The lady who lives next door kept staring into the livingroom and walking past very often when we had the double door open which wasn't very relaxing or pleasant especially as you have to walk through the living room to get to the bedroom from the kitchen or bathroom, it didn't feel very private.

Location and had obviously recently been refurbished so everything nice and clean and new

Very minor point - was a little taken aback when owners were using the v small living room patio as access to one of their properties - wasn’t a problem but think we should have been made aware.
