Its is amazing stay the staf is very friendly and I will recommended this place

The family who ran the home stay were so hospitable & friendly. They arranged a taxi to collect us when we arrived at the train station. It was raining so hard & absolute chaos with everyone trying to get their own transport it was a real nice touch. They prepared a banquet of an evening meal for us which was absolutely delicious. Traditional Sri Lankan curry’s, rice & noodles. There was so much of it we couldn’t finish it all. The owner can arrange trips out & onward travel arrangements so do ask as it is a little cheaper than arranging it in town.

There is some building work going on there as they are adding another floor to the property but as we were out during the day it didn’t really bother us. The property is quite a way up a steep hill so you’ll need a tuk tuk to get around but this is the nature of Ella in the hills.

Die Familie ist super bemüht und außerordentlich gastfreundlich! Das einheimische Frühstück ist mehr als reichlich & es gibt auch nicht jeden Tag das selbe. Gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis kann man sich auch abends bekochen lassen - sehr empfehlenswert, dss beste Essen in Sri Lanka, was wir bisher hatten! Wir konnten auch einen Roller ausleihen, der in 5 Minuten organisiert wurde. Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb aber wunderschön im Dschungel.

Es wird schon sehr stickig im Zimmer, da man aufgrund der Insekten nicht wirklich lüften kann. Im Bad gibt es kein Fenster, die Luftfeuchtigkeit kriegt man also kaum raus, weshalb es immer etwas muffig und feucht riecht. Wie so oft bei den Duschen in Sri Lanka, wird nach einem Duschgang praktisch das Bad „überflutet“. Wenn man also aufs Klo muss, tritt man ins Nasse.

Die Familie ist sehr nett und wir wurden wunderbar bekocht. Das Zimmer ist komfortabel und vom Balkon hat man einen sehr schönen Blick.

Leider war während unseres Aufenthaltes eine Großbaustelle über unserem Zimmer, so dass wir das Zimmer ganztägig nicht nutzen konnten. Deshalb die schlechten Bewertungen beim Preis -Leisungsverhältnis und beim Komfort. Diese sind sicher gut, sobald der Ausbau abgeschlossen ist.

Lovely homestay with a welcoming family. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our time here. The setting in the hillside is great for birdwatching from your balcony and the family are very helpful with transport if you need it so don't be worried about being out of town. The food was our highlight - traditional Sri Lankan breakfast and we had dinner here 2/3 nights. The curries were the best food we have had in Sri Lanka. Rooms are spacious with good bathrooms and mosquito nets. We did our laundry here too for a good price. It's important to remember this is a homestay not a hotel so you need to be comfortable with that environment.

No AC which is ok as it isn't too hot and there is a big fan, but this means the humidity builds up.

Das Homestay wird von einer super tollen und freundlichen Familie geführt. Das Essen ist herausragend. Mit dem Tuktuk kann man das Homestay gut erreichen.

Leider ein bisschen muffliger Geruch im Zimmer. Aber bei dem feuchten Klima normal.

Die Unterkunft liegt schön versteckt außerhalb von Ella im dichten Grün. Die Gastfamilie ist super freundlich, sehr bemüht und der Sohn fungierte als persönlicher Guide. Wir konnten sogar einen Roller ausleihen. Das Frühstück war geschmacklich sensationell und reichte um eine ganze Familie zu ernähren.

Das Wlan funktionierte so gut wie nie.

Gospodarze bardzo się starają, są bardzo mili i pomocni!! :) piękne widoki, cisza i spokój! Można bez problemu dojechać vanem lub tuk tukiem.

- obecnie trwa budowa pierwszego piętra, ale podczas naszego pobytu nie było żadnych uciążliwych prac :) - słabe ciśnienie wody pod prysznicem - niestety w pokojach mocno czuć nieprzyjemny zapach wilgoci

Lokacija sredi narave, z obilo živali in zanimivo vegetacijo. Vsako jutro so nas pozdravili tukani. Nastanitev odlična, še bolj pa odnos gostiteljev. Celo smo se uspeli dogovoriti, da so pripravili torto za rojstni dan otroka in vsi sodelovali pri praznovanju. Obroki izjemno obilni z veliko lokalnih jedi, ter svežega sadja. Fantastično.

Exceptional hospitality and service. Breakfast and Dinner were outstanding, best in Sri Lanka so far..
