Forest Rawana homestay Ella

It was really a great stay. The touristic city Ella is close (5-10min with tuktuk) and you get to enjoy both: the city and the quiet nature around the homestay. We really liked the people: one of the nicest so far!! The food was also amazing 🌞

The location was fantastic, just a bit outside Ella center, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The surroundings were beautiful, with a lovely garden and a balcony that had comfortable chairs, perfect for relaxing. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing useful tips about the area and even assisting with the luggage. They also double-checked to ensure everything was going well. The breakfast was plentiful and simply delicious 🩵 there is also a great juice bar just outside the hotel. I absolutely loved the place and would definitely stay again if I visit Ella in the future. Just a heads-up, there are some stairs to navigate to reach the hotel, so if you have mobility issues, you should keep that in mind.

Beautiful and clean accommodation in the hearth of nature. Hotel included a large bathroom, where hot water flowed without problems. We had a very tasty Sri Lankan breakfast in the accommodation, which also included coffee. We also took advantage of the dinner option - delicious Sri Lankan. The hotel is in a quiet part, not in the city center, but the owners provided us with a tuk-tuk transfer from the station (free) to the center and back. There is a scooter rental option at the accommodation. The family is very friendly, nice and very helpful. Among other things, they also arranged for us a share taxi to Udawalawe, a jeep driver in Udawalawe, etc. Wave to everyone and see you later!

La gentillesse de la famille qui nous a accueilli comme si nous étions leurs proches, en se rendant disponible pour échanger sur la culture. La propreté et le confort des chambres, le petit déjeuner délicieux. Je ne peux que vous recommander cet endroit si vous restez à Ella !

Das Homestay liegt etwas außerhalb, für uns war es perfekt, da uns Ella zu laut und hektisch war. Wir hatten von der Familie einen Roller gemietet was wir unbedingt empfehlen um die Gegend zu erkunden! Die Familie ist so herzlich und bemüht jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Unbedingt dort Abend essen, es ist unglaublich was da auf den Tisch kommt! Der Vater ist auch Taxifahrer und hat uns am letzten Tag früh morgens nach Udawalawa zur Safari gefahren, die hat er auch organisiert, und danach nach Tangalle zu unserer nächsten Unterkunft. Da wir dann morgens kein Frühstück hatten hat uns die Mutter morgens um 4 Uhr ein leckeres Frühstück eingepackt! Überhaupt war das Frühstück sensationell. Besucht unbedingt das Kloster nördlich von Ella, für mich der schönste Tempel in Sri Lanka!
