I liked the location - a quiet. local neighbourhood, but still close to lakeside. My room was spotless and comfortable. The manager and staff were welcoming, warm, friendly, hospitable and helpful. I very much enjoyed my stay. I would recommend without hesitation. It's a great hotel.

Breakfast and the coffee could be a lot better.

"Best hosts in nepal"

This was my returning time to the mountain house. The last review I had said the pillows were a little hard for my liking but that wasn't an issue. Upon arriving the host said they had read this and found me a softer pillow for my stay which was incredibly nice of them

I have no problems with this place

The family here is incredibly warm and welcoming, always full of smiles. Their dog is adorable too. When I arrived, I mentioned I wanted to try trekking, and they immediately helped arrange everything. It was my first trek, and I felt a bit nervous, but they kindly reassured me. The guide was also excellent. The Poon Hill trek became one of the most memorable experiences of my life. After returning, staying here felt like coming home. The bed is soft and everything is clean, the food is beautiful and delicious, and they helped me with everything I needed. I’m truly grateful. Thank you so much!

"Beautiful, clean, quiet oasis in Pokhara"

The Mountain House is an absolute gem in Pokhara. I stayed here after a 10 day trek and it was the ultimate place to come and recover. It is extremely clean, quiet, beautiful and the owners / staff are very friendly. The price is a total bargain and I would recommend this to a parent as well as a friend. Definitely stay here!
