It's a lovely old homestead, over 100 years old. Has lots of character. The couple who operate it live on- site. They were very friendly and welcoming. Was asked to remove my shoes & they provide slippers. Have free use of the large kitchen, including free tea & coffee. There's even a bath to use if you wish in the bathroom & the shower was nice. The bed was comfortable & there's a heater to use as well.

The gate was locked, the only entry into the property, very early. Came back from dinner before 7pm, so had to climb over the fence, which wasn't easy. It was still locked when I left at 7am so had to put my luggage over the fence and climb over it again.

It would be helpful to clarify check-in instructions. I was a late booking and didn’t not have phone access, but luckily the hosts were there when I arrived and saw me.

The space and the quiet position in the town. The proprietors were very helpful with safe storage for our bikes.

We thought we had booked access to a private bathroom but that was not available when we arrived.

It was frustrating trying to communicate with owners who have virtually no English The property would be improved a lot by being able to lock the room from the.outside, having tea and coffee facilities in the room not just in the shared kitchen and having a waste paper basket in the room.
