The place was clean and the location great. You can easily walk to everything in the Village.

The bed pillows were a bit average. Being pick here.

Small but had everything we needed. So clean and tidy and fully equipped kitchen (which is rare). Lovely and warm with very friendly hosts.

Very comfortable, warm accomadation in a beautiful location. It was lovely to meet Andy and Karen, our hosts, who couldn't have been more helpful. Leintwardine is a friendly village that has two great pubs, both being easy to walk to from the property. We took our two dogs and enjoyed doing some amazing hikes with stunning scenery. We will definitely be back.

"Great location close to all the Shropshire/Hereford attractions"

Andy was very friendly and on hand if we needed anything. The Barrels is located at the top of Leintwardine village with a very short walk to a fantastic Spar and The Lion (amazing food) and The Sun (a great locals, local). The Spar has the cheapest fuel in the country, I'm sure!! Fill up before you go home! The two double Bedrooms were very well appointed and comfortable, though the smaller bedroom would have benefitted from a small dressing table. The bathroom was great - lovely shower. There is a lovely garden, which I'm sure is fabulous to enjoy during the summer months - it was a tad cold when we were there.

There isn't a sign showing where The Barrels is on the road, so got a bit lost on the way in (The sign says The Coopers). As my sister and I had arrived on a cold drab November afternoon, we were hoping for a nice cosy and warm place to sit for a cuppa before going off to try out The Lion for supper. The open plan kitchen/dining/living area was very stark and cold. There was quite a draft coming in through the front door which goes straight into the living area. There isn't any gas in the village so the heating comes from electric storage type heaters which were on 19 degrees. Following the instructions in the Guest Info book to increase the heat was of no help whatsoever, so we froze a bit on that first afternoon, but gradually worked out how to get the heat up and found cosy throws in the bedrooms which we brought down. The lighting downstairs was supplied by recessed ceiling lights which was quite harsh, so we brought lamps from the bedrooms too, to cosy it up a bit. We felt that the whole property needs a little more thought into making it a bit cosier - some pictures, rugs, lamps and bookcases on the wall would help keep the heat too. Though we have to say the bedrooms were very nice. I'm sure you wouldn't notice these aspects if you were staying during the warmer seasons.
