Verdant Haven Ella - Gateway to Ella Rock

The rooms are very clean and in great conditions. The host was very helpful and supportive, he picked us up from the train station and a couple of times at town. We had one of the best breakfast during our whole Sri Lanka trip here and are still dreaming of it :) The location is quite outside of the center and it takes quite some time to get there. Just to keep in mind.

Nothing. For us a bit a more central location would have been ideal but not the properties fault :)

Very spacious room with a large bathroom- very large comfortable bed

Close to the train track so you hear the train horn very clearly but then it’s a short walk if you want to start your hike to Ella rock as it’s so close to the train tracks

The host was so lovely! He was so warm, helpful and accommodating. He did us good rates to get into town and was an easy walk down the railway track during the day. The breakfast was delicious.

I had a fantastic stay at Verdant Haven Ella! The accommodation is well-maintained, clean, and provides a peaceful atmosphere. The staff is extremely helpful and goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Although the location is a bit off the main road, it’s perfect for nature lovers. You can easily walk to Ella Rock and the Organic Tea Garden, making it a great base for exploring the area.

Close to Kitha Ella station,and Ella rock trailhead. Helpful owner with readily available tuk tuk.

Long way out of town. Noisy hotel in front at weekend.

New clean rooms, was happy to have a proper good shower. The host helped with tuktuk for good price. His sister cooks amazing Sri Lankan breakfasts. The location is near the train station where people like to hike :) possible to get on this famous train from this station

Nice place, good breakfast and a friendly cat walking around. Owner is very friendly.

Could be noisy thru other guests but we we’re up early so didn’t bother us
