Verdant Haven Ella - Gateway to Ella Rock

Absolutely spotless rooms and a super comfy bed. The shower was the best we've had so far. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. The manager was very knowledgeable and responsive, he happily would take you out on day trips and be your taxi service. An easy abd interesting walk along the railway lines took you into Ella centre

It was close to the railway but we didn't mind that. You could also hear the road noise but the value and location far out weighed this small issue. We would definitely return.

The rooms are comfortable, very friendly staff and we received lots of information and support for our stay (i.e. arranging cooking class or a scooter).

The location is close to the railway station and trains can be loud occasionally.

My favorite stay in Lanka! Spacious and clean room with the most comfortable bed and pillows i had on my trip. Located outside of the busy and laud Ella town, here you hear the sounds of the nature and look into the green hills. Wonderful location to hike Ella rock and the walk to ella town along the railway is iconic! But the best of all is the Host Ayesh. He takes amazing care of the individual needs of the guests, prepares the most tasty breakfast after an early hike and anytime i needed a pickup from the town in the evening he was there in no time. I felt taken so good care of and wish i could have stayed longer! Pure relaxation!

For a City person like myself it was unusual to recognize that there are small slots in the Windows making it practically open to outside. I was concerned that i would be bothered by the noise but finally ended up loving the fresh air in the night tucked in the bed covered with mosquito net

Rooms were clean. Bed was large and comfortable. The shower was the best with red hot water. Location was perfect for me. Out of Ella town away from all the music and traffic. Only a 20 minute walk down the tracks into Ella where you pass lots of little restaurants that are much cheaper than Ella. There’s also a train station just at the end of the road so could catch the train if you wanted. Perfect location for Ella rock too. Breakfast was excellent with a Selection of fruits, Dahl rotti and avocados and eggs. The manager was a gentleman and would pick me up from Ella in his tuk tuk. He always made sure I was taken care of.

Rooms are not sound proofed but nothing earplugs didn’t sort and from what I heard speaking to other travellers not many places are in Ella are

what a amazing place i have seen in Ella and it was very beautiful view. Host was very kind and he was guide us in hiking and we are hire a bike for us and we are very happy to stay this place.

Ayessh was a fantastic host, incredibly helpful and friendly! Our room was lovely, very clean and comfortable with a nice hot shower. Great local breakfast too 😊

It is quite a distance outside the centre of Ella, you will need a tuk-tuk which Ayessh can arrange! The shutters beside the windows and above the door do not close which can be a problem if the other guests are using their balcony in the evening, it can be very noisy.

Simply amazing the setting and professionalism of the stay! If you enjoy rather calmer surroundings while still being able to enjoy Ella to the fullest, well here you have your best option!
