Quinta dos Afectos

A beautiful spot overlooking the fields and then the ocean. There were two outside covered areas with a table to eat outside both with lovely views. House itself was very clean and comfortable - the online photos don’t do it justice. The host was very friendly and helpful - laundry onsite

There was a road going right by but it was quiet at night and the street was local so only a few cars passing mostly at the start and end of the day - no complaints

Personal touches by the owner make this property exceptional.

Loved the location, really friendly host, pretty house

The owner of the place, Sr. Manuel, met us when we arrived and opened the gates and door for us. He even prepared a bottle of wine for us! :) it was a wonderful trip! and staying at Quinta dos Afectos made it even better! we really felt home. we could use all the facilities - fireplace, grill, all kitchen staff. the rooms were clean and warm. The location is great - close to the airport and Ponta Delgada but in a quiet village. we managed to see a lot of places as the most remote place was 1-1.5 h drive from the Quinta. if we have a chance to come back to Sao Miguel, we will definitely stay here again.

Nothing really. The only thing, may be, one of our friend was quite tall and he hit the upper part of the doorway a couple of times. is it possible to attach some some tissue to the upper part of the doorways in the house?

Bonjour Manuel. Notre séjour à Sao Miguel dans votre magnifique maison était superbe. Merci beaucoup. Nous avons aussi apprécié sur deux soirées le vin offert, excellente composition de cépages, suprême attention aussi : les verres à dégustation. Bravo aussi pour les objets décoratifs et l'aménagement des pièces. Votre hébergement est parfait. Bonne vacances à vous et votre épouse, nous avons compris que vous projetiez un voyage. It was a wonderful home and the owner and family were welcoming. We would highly recommend this place for a stay to explore this area of San Miguel.

L’accueil de Manuel, l’emplacement bien pour rayonner dans l’île

Un peu d’humidité à l’étage du bas

Un seul jeu de clefs pour ouvrir le portail à deux couples et pas de possibilité de sortir de la cour sans…. Un portail extrêmement bruyant qui vous réveille la nuit , le matin tôt …. Peu d’ustensiles de cuisine, pas une seule vrai poêle ni casserole….des couverts de dînette…. Des chiens qui aboient la nuit , bref peu reposant d’autant que les matelas sont extrêmement durs et peu confortables. Vraiment trop cher pour le service!
