Vibrant Leith Flat

It was clean and although very compact the living space felt nice. The decor was lovely. The washing machine was great and we appreciated the ceiling hanging air dryer. The location was not very central, but there was a bus stop into the city at the end of the street.

They need to update the mattress!! The bed was incredibly uncomfortable- the springs were noisy and poked into you. There was no top sheet on the bedding, though I acknowledge that seems common for the UK. The was a persistent smell of cigarette smoke in the toilet and the hallway of the building. We don’t smoke so we weren’t sure where it came from.

The place was clean, tidy, and really quiet - the views into the park were lovely. Even though we were in the city, it felt as if we were in some small cottage in the countryside

The bathroom/shower facilities takes some getting used to, but isn't a bad thing - it's the quirk of these older Scottish flats but still throws you for your first shower being in what felt like a closet - don't let this stop you from booking though!

Great apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was clean and apartment was very well equipped. It's cozy and comfortable and the staff is very helpful. I would definitely pick this place again when in Edinburgh. There is a store nearby and it's close to the Yacht. Every evening there was a friendly cat in the hall, nice feature of the apartment.

Slippers would be great.

The owners had made good use of this small space to create a stylishly finished, trendy 'tiny home', with a well sized bedroom and a kitchen-diner. The bed was a decent size and very comfortable. The flat was in a quiet location so it was easy to sleep. There was a good stock of tea and coffee as well as toilet paper, kitchen roll and toiletries. The host made helpful suggestions of places to go in Leith but these were further away than stated.

The layout of the flat is peculiar. Upon entering there is a steep flight of stairs leading down. The shower and toilet are separate, so there is a small shower cubicle in the middle of the corridor, impractical for getting ready and for if you wanted privacy. There was an ironing board but no iron to be found. The main issue with levels of cleanliness was that everywhere in the flat had an unpleasant smell, like stale cigarettes and mildew mixed together. Now all of our clothing smells. The location is around a 10 minute walk from any amenities but there was a bus stop around a 15 minute walk away to get into Edinburgh centre. While value for money was reasonable, if you're wanting to sight see around Edinburgh it's 45 minutes of travelling via public transport or a £12 Uber.

Very comfortable accommodation, well equipped and close to transport links. Nice to have the green outlook.

The apartment itself is great, spacious for 2 and with a very well equipped kitchen

The tile floor is a bit cold, I advise bringing slippers if coming during the cold season

Lovely little flat near the area where I needed to be due work being done in my own place. Everything was immaculate and flat was tastefully decorated. I loved little details like the Scottish seakelp soap in the shower and big fluffy towels. Kitchen was very well stocked. Bed was comfortable and I liked the way heating could be controlled individually in each room.

Only minus was the very cold tiled floor. I didn’t have slippers with me and the floor felt freezing under bare feet. A rug/runner would help with that. For anyone with mobility issues the flat is not all in one level. It was not a problem to me but steps from the door down were a surprise I wasn’t expecting. But as said, not a problem to me at all.

Very clean and tidy space. Located in a quiet area close to the city center. Small but fully equipped. Overall, a very solid choice. The host is very responsive and helpful, the check in is very straightforward and easy to do. Recommended.
