The River Hideaway

We loved the stay at River Hideaway. Idilic and very cozy villa with comfortable facilities. Here you can use host provided boat, paddles or just swim in the river. Villa itself beautiful and at magical place. Also the host is very nice and kind person.

The place is around 3km from city centre, so keep in mind that motorcycle or other private vehicle is needed here, since tuk tuk is not often riding around.

The villa itself need some deep cleaning / deep renovation, some bathroom stuffs are stuck and uneasy to use. Or like when i took shower on villa two the water just stays on the floor, it was clogged. The shower handle was crusty too.

The environment is amazing, the river is really enjoyable, and there are some adorable cats coming sometimes. It overcomes the few negative points mentionned:)

There was mess downstairs near the cabin. The bathroom is beautiful but the water evacuation is not good. There is not place for 4 adults, the second bed is really small.

Two beautiful bungalows / apartments have been created with a lot of love and feeling for the environment. In the middle of stunning nature, photos can hardly capture the beauty of it. That's why River Hideaway deserves a high rating; definitely go here, it's a fairytale! But......

Dear managers / owners, make sure that you continue to maintain this beautiful place with the same love with which you created it. Neglect lurks around the corner. Then I mean poor drainage, a lick of paint (outside, inside, the bed). Rickety sockets etc. Did it negatively affect our stay? No, certainly not, but an urgent request to continue investing in maintenance so that future visitors can also enjoy this gem.

A very unique experience and able to wake up in the jungle along the river was incredible, fully recommend staying here. The hosts were very responsive, had an issue with water pressure of which was fixed within 30 mins and the guy that came to help was incredibly lovely. The hosts also helped me to hire a bike from Abigail who was Fantastic and dropped the bike off to me when I needed it, even picked it up from my second accommodation a few days after leaving. Before you go important to know that this is in the jungle along the river so lots of bugs around so be prepared for that (girlfriend got nibbles quite a bit) and the water is salty from the taps and shower. As long as you can cope with that it's fantastic.

Beautiful remote location with spectaculaire views! The manager of the place is very reactive to any query.

The salty water in the washroom gives a bit of discomfort. Also new construction is happening just next door, not very relaxing during the day!
