The River Hideaway

The view ia amazing. The comunication and information provided by the Host was very good.

As the room is in the forest, you may find some ants inside the house. But if you take care of your trash, it is ok.

The place itself is very nice and relaxing. Everything you will need for a stay in is available as far as dishes, coffee, cooking and mini fridge

My main issue is the water. I noticed the toilet water looked like urine every time I flushed. I thought maybe this was isolated to the toilet until we filed up the outside tub. That's when I noticed all the water was a dark yellow. I also noticed this when washing dishes. Thats when i realized i have been washing myself and brushing my teeth with this yellow water. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days, on the 3rd day I noticed my body breaking out in small rashes. I assume it's just rust and my body has had a reaction to it. Besides the water being very gross looking, it was a pleasant stay.

This is place is Amazing ! i travel into many places for the last +20 years … i can tell you !! its a MUST in Siargao ! The view, the villa and the fisherman little boat will give u the opportunity to go into the mangrove early morning with the birds and the full beautiful nature around the villa !! I will come back for SURE ! 👍🏽👍🏽

The location and design was a 10 / 10!

The property is very beautiful with fantastic view of the River. This place is private & you will get the total relaxation you want.

The unit was damp & mildewed specially the kitchen & shower area. The Cabinets are also dusty. It would be nicer if the unit will undergo general cleaning. Bed linens doesnt smell good.

Everything! Little paradise, tucked away in the middle of nature. The place is very clean and the view on the river is breathtaking! So peaceful and quiet, but also not too far from GL as well (20 mins by scooter, very wasy to do!) Communication with the host was great. He even organized for us to have a scooter waiting for us upon our arrival at the place :) Spent 4 nights here for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed!

honestly this is the most amazing place I’ve ever stayed. we stayed in the middle of a massive 4 day rain storm and had flooded road and issues with power but my god, the RAIN. considering the adverse weather the owners were fantastic. issues with electrics due to the crazy weather were sorted out at midnight with a handyman. The reason for lower cleanliness rating is not a bad thing. the bathroom smells mouldy but thats only because its the best bathroom in the world with a native plant roof and plants growing around you. you shower in the rain with a warm shower with rain water falling around you. power points everywhere for charging, a boat, a jetty, gazebo, my god this is amazing. go there.

Breakfast was a cold shower, quiet meditation. And journaling by the river. Ahh my favorite. The view is amazing. The peaceful ambiance. If you want a place to reset, recover, find peace away from the hustle and bustle of General Luna. This is it. There’s a boat you can borrow, you can swim in the river, or watch trippy mudskippers (fish that can breathe on land) chillin’ on the rocks by the pier. Haole and Shakabrah a close by restaurants. Internet was good.

The open bathroom can sometimes let a mosquito or two in. We didn’t light the incense on the first day so I got snacked on. Lol Remember to light the “Katol” or mosquito incense before you sleep. It’s a 15-20 min motorbike ride from the hustle and bustle of general Luna but honestly we really Didn’t mind.
